Get rid of dad belly
ad
Hello there
My father is trying to lose weight but is struggling to do so. He's trying to get rid of his dad belly but nothing has worked for him. I can tell it upsets him a bit because he's lost fat everywhere but his gut. Do you know any steroids or anything that would help with that? He's 55, takes 3-4 IU of HGH daily, has a good diet and exercises regularly.

Metabolism is much different at this age & so it takes longer to lose fat in areas that are more insulin sensitive.... meaning this is the last place it leaves from so it takes perseverance. With men it’s usually live handles & back fat due the binding of the fat. As suggested below a blood test from the dr to determine his test level would be a great idea. Other than that I would recommend green tea. It helps greatly with metabolism.
If he is otherwise healthy, has a good diet, exercises regularly and is taking GH something isn't adding up if he still has a gut. If he is loosing fat everywhere else but his gut is big maybe he has GH gut. Seriously though, this doesn't make sense if he is dropping fat everywhere else but his gut. The gut is the last place for it go on me but it does go. think he may need to give it more time.
1-Dad should create his own account & ask his questions
2-He’s already taking HGH?...and having trouble “losing his belly”? = the problem very likely is his diet/nutrition & the way he’s exercising
3-As others suggested, get bloods...hormone levels could be out of whack & docs can dial it in
4-AAS are not “fat burners”...neither is HGH...as others have astutely already mentioned
Basically, dad should go to professionals to check hormones & nutrition analysis... or start educating himself if he’s gonna DIY... playing a dangerous game messing with chemistry of human body; gonna end up having more problems than just a spare tire belly
You are correct about everything but # 4.For a fifty year old, testosterone can be a potent fat burner.Men that are low T naturally accumulate belly fat.Correcting this could make him rapidly lose fat.Depending on his hormonal state, diet could be irrelevant.HGH as well, can be a very good fat burner, but is usually useless without proper androgen levels. He should certainly see a doctor and get blood work, but this theory that AAS don't burn fat just doesn't hold up.Look at a guy before and after a tren cycle and it's obvious there is a fat burning /fat loss effect.
Fat burning comes with a diet and training plan, it doesn't magically melt fat. My 1st year on TRT I lost very little weight because my lifestyle and eating habits did not change until I started training again and then stopped eating burgers in a box. Only then did it start HELPING lose fat, it did not do the job for me.
Your comparison to a guy on a tren cycle is moot, the tren cycle guy is training to go with his tren. Go ahead and take tren and just sit on your ass eating pizza and burgers and come back and let us know how the fat loss went.
I would agree with you somewhat but my Tren /test cycle went twelve weeks .It was quite mild as far as doses 300 test e and 200 Tren e a week.Coupled with intermittent fasting and a low glycemic carb diet,I was able to lose 65 pounds while increasing all lifts.Granted I wasn’t eating pizza and burgers but was eating close to 4500 calories daily.I did train, and did do cardio 40 minutes on an empty stomach every morning.
Now just to make a point the same training ,Granted I wasn’t training as intense, because I couldn’t,doing a fertility regimen of clomid 50 a day and hcg 250 iu eod, eating 1500 less calories a day I gained 60 pounds in six months. It’s anecdotal I know but my fertility doctor tells me it’s normal.its called nutrient partitioning and AAS cause it.
basskiller89I've had similar success with cutting using IF and ketogenic protocols
My calories were a bit lower than yours and I was on a test only cycle
My weight still fluctuates but I try to keep it more stable from now on
How did you do 40 minutes of cardio a day on tren. I couldn't run a half mile while on it. To each his own I guess
Slow and low brother. The elipticle is you friend.I assure you I wasn’t doing windgates or HIIT.Truthfully though cardio is more easy for me on Tren than Anavar. The anavar pumps kill me and make cardio harder.
BUT you were training and dieting, thats the magic words. If you put someone on test or tren and they just continue with their lifestyle, no training, eating whatever they want, they will not see magical fat loss.
You are right about that.In fact it may make you fat.For me TRT was a god send.I know others that it wasn’t that much of a help.I first used the gel and even though it helped with The plumbing it wasn’t that affective in the gym.Once I started test cyp and got my levels quite a bit higher,my body started to change. When I added Tren it changed considerably.
I agree that both have "fat-burning benefits"... but they should not be used primarily for that purpose. Fat-burning is a complementary benefit...
I won't condone or support the OP's question by suggesting "his father" will benefit from HGH and/or AAS because "they are good fat-burners"...these compounds shouldn't be experimented with simply because someone wants to "burn fat".
I would agree with that, however his age is certainly in the range to see the doctor and ask about TRT.Can be a great benefit for the over fifty crowd.
There is nothing easy about losing fat. He needs to make a diet and stick to it.
Not to be a dick but rusty advised in another thread about giving third hand advice we don't do it. And there are good reasons. If some one you know wants to be a member here show them how to sign up.
Intermittent fasting is the best way to lose the dad belly.Plain old testosterone is also known to reduce belly fat.I know people keep saying that steroids aren’t fat burners but that’s nonsense.Any compound that elevates metabolism is a fat burner.Testosterone and the growth he is already taking should do the trick, coupled with a good diet and some fasted cardio.
Note research eating in the glycemic index. This and the fasting will take the belly off.
basskiller89I'm a huge advocate of intermittent fasting as well
Yes brother combined with Keto re feed type one can shred quite fast.
Hello Sir,
I am afraid AAS will not solve this problem as hormonal substances are not fat burners but rather muscle building compounds.
If your father is not losing body fat you would need to look in to his nutrition, calorie intake and his training plan. If you say he was dieting and lost some fat before, more likely he has plateaued and it is time to make some adjustments to the actual diet or training plan - whether your father gonna have to up the training (cardio or other activities he is doing) or drop some calories to monitor further progress.
If you still decide to proceed with PEDs your father will more likely create more damage to the body due to lack of experience and knowledge.
@ IrishWOLFhound has a good point about trt though, I would get that checked.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Has your dad done a blood test to see what his test levels are ? He might need to be on trt because of his age . Id tell him to see his doctor first , its safer than you putting him on a cycle because you don't seem to know much about steroids .
Boom
On point ☝️☝️☝️
Perhaps your daddy himself could try this newfound technology called the internet to locate a search engine in order to put him in contact with, lets say, an informative forum that could assist in just such things.
Just a thought
Also, as a point of fact, people with a "good diet" do not have big fat bellies. Diet is not good and needs obvious work.
Although it is fairly common knowledge it is worth repeating. Steroids are not fat burners.
how does his diet looks like?
stats?
3-4 IU HGH, why?
SunnyD.81He needs to clean up his diet and choose foods that don't bloat him, dont cause inflammation and don't spike his blood sugar. Then he needs to maintain a consistent level of healthy cardio daily. He can change it up, long distance rowing machine, stair stepper, bike, hiking and even going a few rounds on a heavy bag to work up a sweat and gets him breathing and his heart rate up. Avoid dairy, grains, night shade vegetables, preservatives and simple sugars, drink as much water, cook your meats, no processed meats, frequent meals and measured macros, 30protein 30carb 40fat and he'll lose weight rapidly. Steroids tanking his lipids, heart stress, sides, hormone fluctuations, that's not what he needs.
