TRT increase
ad
I had my bloodworm done 6-8 months ago. My Test was 245 and the doctor prescribed 200mg test. cypiantate every 15 days. I went back and he wrote a script for 200mg every 12 days. From all the reading for a basic cycle I need to be taking 500 mg a week. The last time I went, I felt he did not want to do much more than that. My levels was in the mid 500's 9 days out from a shot. I work hard in the gym and would like to grow a little more and drop about 15 pounds. Any advice. Thanks

I am doing the HITT cardio on the treadmill to cut fat after my workout. 20 minutes, 5 minutes warmup, 5:45 sprinting, walking from 6-7, and sprint 7:7:45, walk again fro 8-9, and so on till 20 minutes is over. Then a dew minutes to cool down. Do you think that is enough to cut fat. Thanks.
Wingates
Welcome to hell :-)
Its a whole hell of a lot more work and understanding science and nutrition than people think. I guess people are just lazy. I feel like a damn rocket scientist studying so damn much on this board. Not to mention I have a physical education and health degree to boot and I am still learning so much since I started on here. Sure not an easy road to get where I would like. However, Just learning and applying what I have learned with my current knowledge has been an exhausting task and seems like an ongoing educational process. Then once you learn it, you have to get your ass in the gym and work, thats a whole different task, that requires some serious effort....lol
Sparky, I agree 100 percent. I'm an engineer and I feel like I've studied more for a cycle than I did in college. Not to mention I feel like I work 10 times harder in the gym than I ever have at work, lol.
Its some hard work and no short cuts exist. I have figured that out, but I can see growth week to week.....Feels damn good too!!!
Frkn Truth +
Truth!
Give the wingates a go, check some videos on how to do em. More brutal than treadmills, more efficient and require less time per session and per week. Murders fat
Loving those wingates.....:):):)
This style of HIIT is based around the Wingate test, which is used to measure peak anaerobic power and anaerobic capacity[4]. The Wingate HIIT uses 30 seconds of 'all out' intensity, followed by ~4 minutes of recovery, repeated 4-6 times.
I have also seen 2 minutes for recovery time, which I think is an adaption and more along the HIIT guiedlines. Most recommendations give doing this 3x a week. What do you think?
You can do it anyway you want really
I usually do; warm up-sprint-all out-deload and then repeat sprint, all out, deload at 1m-45sec-15sec-30sec then 45sec-15sec-30 sec (for repeats)
As many reps as you can handle or increase sprint+drop deload to progress
5-8 mins per session 2-3 times per week should be all you need!
Thanks for the info......
I have bee on the treadmill and I have been doing 20-25 minute sessions:
0-5 minutes warmup
5-6 minutes turn it up to 10 mph and sprint until 5:45 and then turn back to 2.5 mph
6-7 minutes walk to 2.5
7-8 repeat sprint like in 5-6
8-9 repeat walk like in 6-7
repeat all the way to 20 minutes and then walk to my heart rate is down to 130 or below
I am definitely going to try that. 5-8 minutes is crazy. I have been doing 20-25 per session at least 3 times a week sometimes 4.
I sure will, I had been looking at the murph workout too. I like the sound of wingates. I don't care to go hard and push, but decreasing time is what I am all about. Thanks...
Fat loss is ALL ABOUT DIET. You can't out cardio bad eating. "Bad eating" doesn't just mean quality of food, but in this case, QUANTITY of food.
There are many ways to cut calories, and keep exploring the "Weight Loss" forum section that you've been posting in. You'll get there, brother. You can do this.
You can't outwork a bad diet, figured that one out. In that transformation stage of getting lean and tone. I started out about 244 a year ago and I got to 202 and hurt my wrist and cost me about 3 months off. I am now at 210 and back in the gym. Hopefully in the next 3 months I get get leaner and down under 200. In six months I would like to be 190 and lean. I am 5'6 and stocky, I graduated at 180 25 years ago and played college ball at 190 and had like zero fat on me. I think 190 will put me lean as I pack back on some extra muscle. Thanks for the encouragement.
Shit, you have a GREAT goal! These lads have given you solid advice, regarding dialing in your TRT for a year before you start messing with a cycle, or any other AAS. By the time your body is dialed in, you'll be ready cuz you'll be lean. +1 for your kick ass attitude. Keep us posted, too! It's a constant journey, and it's tough as shit through the holidays, but it's doable.
(I fast the day before big eating days cuz my family cooks damn much, I can't resist eating big. People criticize my "all or nothing" attitude, between fasting, then over eating, but they don't have my life or my crazy Greek & Mexican family. They're all kick ass cooks, to say the least. It's unhealthy to NOT overeat at our family gatherings!)
Shocks the body, good for you every now and then. But yes I am planning this out and reading, reading, reading. I wanna get lean and looking good at 45. I have came a long way and want to get back where I was when I was younger. I'll stay with it, on a mission....:):):)
Great point. I think every week at 200mg is probably all I would need. I don't feel as good around the end when I am ready for the next shot and then a few days later I feel great again.
no, he has you on 200mg every 12 days which in essence would be 100mg every 5 days so 100 a week not 200
That’s part of the stabilization process for most. I don’t feel any differnt from day one, until the next week for the most part now.
Remember that more is not better. Being stable, sleep, exercise and especially diet. If you’re not eating well (healthy), you just won’t feel good, especially the older you get.
Yes, I have to work on eating better. I have been working out for a year and i have figured that out the hard way...lol A big part of trimming up is eating cleaner and adjusting the protein, carbs, and fat. I do need more sleep. I would like to get in the 7-8 hour range. I am working on that too. I am 45 so I gotta step it up....
I eat what makes me feel good. It turns out those are healthy foods. Funny how that works out.
lol....veggies and meat, stay away from processed foods and try not to overindulge in carbs.....Its a funny thing how that works.
100%on the money.......you eat shit you will feel like shit.
Give the body what it needs not what it wants
Yes, I have to eat much cleaner and it sure beats killing myself on a treadmill....lol
TRT is not a cycle and being on cycles amounts for long periods of time is very unhealthy. Usually 200 mg a week is max.
As said below, you need to stabilize on your dose and that usually takes a year or more. It took almost three before my body fully stabalized.
This is a marathon, so Treat it that way and be patient. The gains that will last, are the ones that take time to build.
I feel much better when I take a few doses. Been about 8-9 months doing this now. thanks mack. ill work with what I have until holidays are over and see what the bloodwork shows.
You will thank yourself for waiting until everything is dialed in, it makes any cycles easier to manage in the future.
It's easy to want to bump it up early on. You've been living with low T and now that it's elevated you feel great right? But more is not better, takes a while to learn that. Like Mack said, dial in your test and AI doseage for at least a year before going into blasting and cruising. Frankly you should be able to make good gains with your current dose. Take this time to work on your diet and training periodization.
Yes, stay on the prescribed amount until you have normalized, another couple months and your bloodwork shows normal. Then worry about cycling.
