-1 Blood test - where to go, what to order
Hi, I was realizing in another thread that I should make this question in its own place. I have read some good posts here about blood work, including the blood work bible I think it's called. I know I should optimally get testing before, durring, and after a cycle. My question is, what lab, is there a name of the test, anything in particular to ask for? That seems like more than one question.
I've read about asking for a female metabolic lab, various male labs, I admit I'm confused. I am 45, diabetic, and on trt, so I get a lot of tests. Just not the right ones. Plus I may need some tests I don't want my doctor to see necessarily, like mid cycle.
School me please. I think this has got to be a common question but I didn't find it. Possibly a mod could consider making it a sticky. We want everyone to know how to get the right blood work. I can't be the only idiot here.

HydroPressI use medichecks they are good , quick turn around
Hey dude, great link
Ive just ping'd them an email but in the meantime, I don't suppose you know if they provide services to Ireland by any chance?
my preferred lab is labsmd.com
less confusing for getting the right bloods on cycle.
i get the hormone panel for females. no false readings from tren or deca.
...
Am i correct in saying you have to get the ultra sensitive estrodial test to avoid erroneous readings?
It doesnt matter what lab or provider used long as its a ESTRADIOL , Sensitive (LC/MS/MS) assay. Just like you said also known as a "sensitive" test
or more importantly, that its not the ECLIA test.
if you look at my very first bloodwork, it's roche eclia method, from labcorp.
not with labsmd,
but yes with privatemd or any lab using labcorp
Roger that. Thanks!
Thank you very much. I'll get them to test if I'm pregnant while I'm there. Jk.

This seems like spoon feeding here at this point but you can order labs online and test at any labcorp or quest diagnostics... your going to have to put in a lil more effort than this its been discussed many times before.
I hear you bro, and like I said I assume it has. I've found a lot of info on what the tests mean but so far not much on how to get them. I know it's one of those things that once you know it seems like everyone should know. That's why I mentioned a sticky could help people find it. It seems like the #1 most important thing to know to me so I suggested it. We all have our own opinions. I'll search some more. I did go to several online testing places but it was confusing which of the many tests would be best. It seemed like the good one was $600. Maybe that's the one to get but I suspect people go another route. A lot of the stuff in that test I already get 3-4 times a year from my regular doctor.
