Having bad shoulder pains
I've been having bad shoulder pains for a few weeks now. I can still pick things up but it's a constant uncomfortable feeling in my right shoulder that gets worse if I lift anything heavy. I've been taking 2 different over the counter joint medications and had a week off of any upper body exercises but it still bothers me. I've had these types of pains in my wrist that eventually went away with the same medications and time off. Thought about going to the doctor but I'm afraid of messing things up at work, just got a big promotion and don't wanna lose it like others have in the past from injuries or being out from work. Also afraid if I see a doctor now and happen to hurt the shoulder at work later on if my past medical records would screw me. Wondering what I should do?

I have shoulder pain as well, for me a trip to the chiropractor always gets everything back to normal.
AppleJuice2017You may just need some time off...
Area-1255Its weird you mention that but I've been getting that a lot on winny lately (higher dose mainly). Never got it before. Could just be getting up there in age (but really mid 30's haha) but this never happened. Is this a general problem for you or a juice problem?
Main reason I don't use winny is it drys me out real bad makes my joints sore as hell
Gonna call a doctor and make an appointment sometime tomorrow morning. Just gotta figure out where to call.
Go get MRI bud. Your AC joints (where collar bone connects to your shoulder) might be damaged. I broke my right one 15 years ago. Stay away from over head presses, incline bench and front DB raises until you get that MRI.
And cortisol shots will help, but will further more damage your joints.
PowahDaveYou need a doctor
you could be pinching a nerve under the scapula ... the medial nerve will cause shoulder pain that starts in rear and runs down the arm to the elbow down the radius and ulna into the wrist and hands if it is bad enough.
top of the shoulder on the side is also a prime area for rotator cuff issues
if anti inflammatories ice and rest don't seem to make a difference it could be time to see the doctor
The big thing is try moving it around first move it up and down with you elbow tucked in tightly if it seems okay start moving your elbow out if it starts to hurt then I would bet on your labrum cause as the elbow goes outward the stress on the labrum increases. I know your pain man I'm recovery week 14 for my shoulder surgery shoulders can get messy to say the least. If you have spair time try and get a MRI and ultrasound you could also have scar tissue impingement and it's rubbing and grinding on tendons and the socket from the inside best to find out exactly what is wrong so you can go in the right direction
Edit: if it hurts moving it with elbow in then rotator cuff or impingement issues.
Have you tried any peptides like tb500 or bpc157??
Would these not be better options after he finds what's actually causing the pain and the exact location (also the extent of the injury)? I'm still researching these two as I really want to pull the trigger and purchase them to see if they'll help me, so I may be wrong.
I've used them both seperatly and together for some annoying tennis elbow and an old shoulder injury before I started using the two together I would always have to kick my right elbow out when I was bringing the weight down on my bench or shoulder pressed and they helped to the point where I don't have to do that no more so they worked really good for me but everyone is different what works for one might not work for the next just like anything else I've tried a few other peptides that didn't do shit like gw50156 I've friends that swear it helped with their cardio and it did sqaut for me
Most definitely it's always better to find out the real problem and the extent first in case it's something serious that could have long term physicall effects i should have thought my reply through a little better!!
Really good info here. Seems to be more at the top of my shoulder where my arm meets my body
It likely is rotator cuff related. If you can see an ortho/sports medicine doc, they will be able to figure out whatever it is that is giving you grief and a plan to treat it.
ClassyChassisIf it's rotator cuff injury it will probably be uncomfortable lying on your back.
I assume you would have noticed a dislocation.
The bicipital tendon could have a tear or inflammation, it could have slipped out of its groove. If it's the tendon you'll probably have discomfort when you pronate or supinate your hand. (Palm down to palm up.)
Could be a torn labrum.
Best to see a Dr. If it's not interfering with your work you wouldn't necessarily have to take time off.
AnonDoes heat seem to help or not?
Ive taken extra hot showers with no relief. Haven't tried a heating pad yet
AnonBest bet is to get reffered to a sports therapy physician, sadly a lot of injuries associated with the pec, shoulders and biceps are experimental if there is any muscle torn from tendon. Hopefully you have nothing but inflamation, but rotator cuff would be a common one.
I have dealt with bad shoulder pain too, and I know...it sucks. I believe mine was tendonitis which will heal it just needs time. I dont know your specifics but I will tell you a nice massage from a professional did me wonders.
Go see a physiotherapist or chiropractor
I'm not a doctor... but you should go see a doctor
check a few things:
-biceps tendon
-rotator cuff
-axillary nerve
-shoulder joint capsule
