+ 1 Follow up with endo....feedback please

ad

So I seen my endo for my follow up and there's three things bothering him.

  1. Low t that's continually on the decline. He wrote me a script of androgel for this. I wanted to recover my natty test but with the other issues I got going on its like beating a dead horse at least until other issues clear up.

  2. Low cortisol - dr is going to be admitting me into the hospital for testing. I forget the exact name of the test but I believe he said they inject you with cortisol every few hours and monitor your bloodwork to determine issue. He was going to write me a script for cortisol but since I told him I'm able to workout he decided to hold off for now until testing because the sides can be bad.

  3. High prolactin - I have to go for an Mir of my brain and pituitary, he believes there may be a growth blocking causing prolactin to build. I believe theres a strong possibility I have a growth as well due to unexplained vision problems I been having, which is a sign of a possible growth. Worst case scenario here is I would need brain surgery to remove growth, which would be my luck.

I asked him if all these problems are of my own doing and he said he believes no. If I just had low t he said it would probably be because of my past aas use, but with the other problems I have no. His exact words were it just comes down to shit luck, which is the story of my life.

The biggest concern I have is the issue with the high prolactin and possible growth that may need surgery to remove. I just had heart surgery several months back and having the possibility of also having a brain surgery all in under a year is starting to wear me down. I always preach positivity to others when they go through tough times but i been through so much just in the last year alone im finding it harder and harder to stay positive and find the will to fight, im getting to the point of giving up.

I was wondering if anybody else ever had this issue of a growth on pituitary and what was envolved in fixing it. I'd appreciate anybody's feedback who has knowledge or first hand experience dealing with this situation. Right now it's a real stresser for me because I barely just got over recovering from my heart issues and now this.

  • oh if anyone's interested the lab work I'm referring to is posted up in my pics section if anyone wanted to take a look. Sorry don't know how to post links with this device I'm using its not mine.

Damn man, that sounds more like my luck. Except my bad luck is with women, that are crazy, that have tried to run me over, and steal all my shit lol.... Real talk to, keep pushing forward homie. I know the struggle, maybe not the same aspect but I know what it feels like to want to give up. The main thing is to turn that fear into strength and keep it pushing, you got this homie. We all a family here

Pituitary adenoma, adrenal insufficiency, and heart failure. Hitman187, I have been through all of it except the high prolactin. You are right to preach positivity. Each roadblock was an opportunity to finally get my health straight and stay on my path. What's the alternative? Feeling shitty and dying anyways? I wasn't going out that way. BTW, I take Hydrocortisone every day, and I have no sides except some minor bloating. I am still training at amateur / near pro level in boxing. The only time it is a problem is when I don't take it as everything aches and gets inflamed. If they start you on it, just remember you have take more when you are sick so the immune system will work properly. Learn everything you can, so you can be your own healer.

My adenoma died and took out my pituitary with it. I didn't notice any difference since I was already on TRT. It was discovered when I switched endocrinologist and got a new MRI. The radiologist said, "What adenoma? There is no pituitary." I didn't care, I had been introduced to a whole new world and way of being thanks to hormones. I am enjoying life now more than ever.

You check your bp lately?

DragonDog's picture

Good call. My BP was way up. HCG helped enormously.

Brain fog, inability to form my self, constant fatigue, and serious anger issues. All of them resolved with TRT.

Im truly sorry for what your having to go through. I know you've hesred it a 1000 times but you have got to find a way or a reason to stay positive. I know it weighs heavy on your mind and it can bring you down. Its also hard on your family wife/ kids if you have any. It breaks their heart to see you hurt and to know that they can't fix you. This is a time for yall to come together as a family and to be a strong support system for one another, there's strength in numbers. I don't know your religious beliefs but you must seek guidance and peace in a higher power of your choosing. A close personal relationship with him can bring you through anything. If you haven't already don't just take the word of one Dr, get a second a third opinion as with your heart surgery this to may or may not be as complicated or server.. You will be in my thoughts and you will be in my prayers. I will ask for a healing prayer to be cast upon you from the members of my church. I wish you all the best luck and a speedy recovery.

Could I ask you how old are you? Life is filled with pain, by truly accepting this you can find the strength and reason to go on. I'm saying this because I think that with the right will power you can overcome this situation. Talking about other things, I personally don't like androgel as replacement, about the growth I suggest you to wait for proof. I personally have had a lot of bad experiences with docs so I would go slow in concerning myself, just my opinion, I hope your doc isn't as the ones I've seen . Good luck btw.

Have you taken a fair amount of clomid in over the years??

I know heaps of ppl on heaps of forums who get the vision problems and migranes etc either long term or short term, immediate or way down the track. Ocular migranes, night blindness etc

Im going to be optimistic for you and say you will likely be fine.

You might have to inject test for the rest of your life but the rest i reckon you will be lucky and will sort itself eventually.

People forget we fuck with our brains, cns etc etc we tend to focus on liver and kidneys.

Doctors dont even have the answers in alot of these cases, sometimes we dont even know what we are putting in our bodies.

Either way keep getting checked and doctors etc, i hoping you will be fine.

They can only go on what the tests show.

One time when i nearly died from an injection to my glute i was rushed to hospital and had no pulse when i got there.

I had a full team of specialists sorting me out and they were so worried about it all not only from the infection but all the other crazy shit going on inside of body from all the drugs.

I was close to death, i was on 5 different steroids back then plus letro, liver supps fucking eveything.

They were convinced i was going to die, have a stroke/ heart attack etc etc

I was out 11 days later and the test they done day one to day of discharge were totally different, i discharged myself but that whole team of doctors were still scratching their heads and didnt really know fuckall about it all.

Obviously the infection which was staph/ cellulitis then septisimia thet fixed but really had no clue on the steroid side of things.

Especially tren.

Good luck mate

About brain I think that there's only one steroid that has been proven to damage brain cells in hippocampus... And we know its name very well. Test alone with his metabolites has even positive effects in reversing cognitive decline. If you are talking about addiction then I quote every single word but that is another thing.

Testosterone at supraphysiological levels causes early cell death of neurons.

I saw one study where all current and former AAS users' spatial memory recall was on par with dementia patients.

The only ray of hope I found is calcium channel blockers were shown to block the effect.

Lots of studies done between T levels, intelligence and neurodegeneration (there are many confounders though I admit). However, in general the correlation between T levels and beneficial effects on CNS is u-shaped. too low is bad, while too high is just as bad.

Emperort's picture

Could you link something please? I've never heard any correlation between high test and neurodegeneration...

Damn man your young as hell too hope you get better bro

i20bpm's picture

That's right man keep your head up

Gettingbig's picture

Damn I thought you were facing not being able to recover and thats bad enough now all this.
I want to ask I believe from what I read your doctor doesn't believe that whats happening is from any compounds you took no gh no Nandrolone or anything of that sort. It basically comes down to hereditary issues?

I wish you the best brother hopefully it turns out not to be something as bad as the doctor is thinking. I will say be more positive I know its hard but your body responds to the chems released in your brain. Staying positive will honestly help you.
I know its not easy but keep your head high brother. Your a strong eroids member.

I can only imagine brother hit me up anytime if you need anything

Prayer's brother!

giardap's picture

Shit luck yes, but very probably good luck in having a competent doctor who is willing to get specialists involved to figure it out. Thats a great thing.

Wishing you the best man, chin up as you will close the year out strongly when you sort this out

giardap's picture

Its crazy really isn't it.
I have a healthy disregard for the general practice medical profession at the best of times, but when you find a good doc it's a solid thing. Particularly when they have a sense of pace and urgency and can put their hands up and reign in some help.

When you say vision problems what exactly is wrong?
I too have had some vision problems lately

This is what I'm experiencing also....the floaters are constantly there in both eyes. I haven't experienced the sparks tho but I have had the vision loss but I keep putting that down to the beginning of a migraine.

Keep us all posted buddy best of luck
