Child support ughh
Fuck its been a long 18 and a half years of hell and struggle. Ive been paying child support since my son was 8months due to me and his mom not being able to get along. Ive never minded paying my obligation to my son I helped create him so it was my duty as a father to help support him. That's not to say it hasn't been tough watching his mom blow through the 500$ a month that was court ordered and still try to hit me up for more every time he needed shoes cloths ball gear etc etc. I done what I could to help more but at the same time I had to live and support my new family as well. But today he graduated highscholl thank god I was worried really worried that he wouldn't due to him being a hard headed know it all just like I was but by the grace of god he did it and I couldn't be. Prouder of him. So after 18 and a half years im done his sorry ass mom just got the last shinny penny from my ass now she can get out and support her own ass. So to any of my brothers here that are obligated to pay every month keep your head up and stay strong because the day will come when you want have to pay anymore. I know I thought it would never end but today it did.

I feel for any guy that has to pay more i really do. I had a good friend who was a pip fitter and he had to pay 1600 a month for 2 granted he maid damn good money on the road doing shutdowns but still that's alot of paper. Plus he was never home to really get to see his kids but he had to work off to pay that kind of money. He was laid off at the time the court set that amount the judge told him you maid that kind of money before so you have to potential to make it again. The state were in is one of the worst states out the 50 for child support. They will lock your ass up for 20$ back cs
Congratulations. I am proud of you that you did right by your son even if it hurt. Truthfully they cost more than 500 a month under your own roof anyway. My dad did everything he could to avoid paying. But alas, chances are you really aren't completely off the hook yet, your son will likely still need a little help from dad in his quest for adulthood.
Tell me about it. For his graduation gift I got him a new set of mud tires and a set of 20inc rims they set me back $5600.
it's a good feeling. I finished about 3 years ago. I never went to court so they stuck me with the maximum no matter how much I made. since he was 2 yrs.
My son will be turning 21 next month can't wait to take him out!

Thanks for all the good words guys means alot. Im a firm firm believer in if you lay down and make a baby then its your responsibility to take care and help provide for that child. Some of these guys and girls that turn their back on their kids blows my mind. Like my second wife after 10yrs she decided she had grown some wild hairs in her ass and need to step out on me and our son. She really fell of the deep end. I took her to court and the courts gave me sole custody if our little boy who was 8 at the time and is now 13. I never asked or made her pay child support for him just because I knew how hard it was to have that hanging over your head. She never has any thing to do with him but that just makes mine and his relationship stronger. Being a father is the best thing to ever happen to me and I wouldn't trade it for nothing in this world. 2 wonderful sons I have 18 and 13 and they keep me on my toes.
AnonMuch respect man, my little nephews dad skipped town and went UA about 7 years ago, it doesnt seem to bother my sister but I know it bothers him. I think an M1 Abrams destroyed my chances of having a child, atleast thats what i think, been trying but my guys arnt swimming straight or something.

i told my sons mom that the greatest day in my entire life will be the day our son turns 18 and i never have to speak another word to her (of course i probably will have to, but im not obligated to), that stung her a bit and im happy about it.

I try bro I really do. My dad was never around when I was coming up he was always strung out on dope or in prison so I always told myself that when I had kids one day that they would be my life and that I would always be there for them and do my best to give them the world. I wouldn't trade my life as a father for nothing in this world. Everyday I wake think to myself how can I do better at being a dad an how can I show them that I love them moors today than I did yesterday.

Yea we have a big trip to 6 flags planed 4th of July week end camping and some fishing my youngest son is so stoked Hes already about broke me with buying Walmart out with all the fishing lures and a new pole. I had to buy him a air matters for the tent his little but is spoiled.

I know it seems like just yesterday I was rocking my youngest to sleep every night and here he is 13 and to cool for dad. Its going to kill me when he graduates and goes of to college ill have the empty nest syndrome for sure. I couldn't imagine not being a father its been the most rewarding experience of my life.
