Prolactin too low?
Stats in bio
I am currently TRT.
Currently about two months post tren cycle having problems with low libido/ ED high estro type symptoms
Tren cycle was 8wks 200mg/ wk each of Tren Ace and Test Prop
Ancillaries on cycle: .25mg adex e3D. .25 Caber 2 x week
Continued adex at same dose back to TRT, ran Caber for one month post cycle at same dose
Within the last month, I started experiencing symptoms that I thought were high estrogen - lethargic, moody, loss of libido, slight ED (difficulty maintaining) etc. so I ran blood work again.
Test was 1200 on 340-1200 scale
Estradiol was 28 on 7.6-42.6 scale
Prolactin was low 0.9 on 4.0-15.2 scale
Could the symptoms be due to low prolactin? Ive researched and have not been able to find a solid answer for the symptoms of low prolactin in men. Any help is greatly appreciated.

shouldnt have run caber at all on that cycle
shouldnt ever run it unless you need to, and 19 nor's dont cause high prolactin, either a pre-existing issues does or high estro does
you tsnked it because you took a med with no need to be taking it
Do you take an ai currently while on TRT?
Your estro level is fantastic, BUT... if you wanted to play with things to bump the prolactin, then you can bump your estro which will in turn bring your prolactin back up, once the caber is clear that is (5x half life of caber)
thats messy though, but it will work
Also get loads of vit D, sleep, sex and do not avoid stress - all raise Prl. Sleep and shagging are biggies here
Ditch anything with zinc in it
Thanks for the advice. I realize my mistake now. I took a cookie-cutter approach and followed the common cycle advice to take Caber as a precaution against gyno.
I currently take .25mg arimidex with each injection. So maybe dropping the adex and maybe upping the test would work for a short term gain in prolactin?
10-4 on the sleep and sex. I could always use more of both, haha.
Why drop the zinc? Adverse effects on prolactin?
dropping the adex, will up estro
increasing test will do same
both will defo bring up prl
that's what I would do, but be careful of course, dont do for too long and watch yourself (bloods etc, after a few weeks will guide you properly)
yeah man zinc lowers Prl! Prl levels go really high with lots of sleep too!!!!
Low prolactin does cause ED. Did you run any prolactin tests before or during your cycle to see if you even needed to run caber? Dopamine agonists can have some very nasty side effects, yet so many people on this site preach to use them on every 19nor cycle. I hope you get back to normal quickly and if you run a 19nor in the future please do bloodwork to see if you even need a DA.
Prolactin always tested low before cycle.
I took some bad advice and ran the Caber to prevent gyno and read in several forums that "low prolactin has no side effects in men" so I assumed I was ok at that low dose. Guess that was wrong
Low prolactin will tank libido and cause ED issues. Should have quit the caber when starting PCT. Did you test prolactin on cycle? Might want to lower that trt dose as well. Not healthy running it that high. Your future cycles will be more productive also if you can bring your baseline down into a more normal range.
That is what I was afraid of. So am I just on the Cialis train until things get back to normal? Haha. Have any idea how long it might take or if there is anything I can do to help the process of returning the levels to normal?
I did a blood test 4wks in and prolactin was at the bottom normal level. It has always tested comparably low for previous TRT blood tests so I thought I was OK. After that, I just ran a general wellness test post cycle to check kidneys and liver. Those came back fine. (HDL a little low)
Lowering the TRT dose this month, been blasting and cruising for the last year so I am going to spend the summer off cycle finding a good baseline dose with a local MD who has agreed to help me out.
Never crushed my prolactin so I have no experience in how long it takes to recover. If you had low levels before cycle it could be a rough one trying to get back to normal. I haven't looked into methods of increasing prolactin but hopefully someone else has.
