Not losing any weight

ad

Okay, I started working out about 6 days a week and doing cardio nearly everyday I lift for the last month. My diet diet has been fairly clean, nothing fried, only grilled chicken and fruits and veg. Now, according to fitbit (I know not 100% accurate) I'm consuming on average 1500 calories and buring 34-3500. Since starting my weight has hovered around 194. Now I can tell that my definition has got a lot better and waist has decreased and looking more toned. I guess my concern is why aren't the pounds coming down with the ratio of intake vs outage. Only supplements I'm taking is a couple protein shakes. Wanted to lose a few more lbs and get more defined before even thinking about any gear.

Stats.
6'
194
~18% bf. (Based off comparison % images)

Well if your going to low with your calories for a long period of time your body will come accustomed and try to keep as much of what your taking in as possible. why dont you cycle your calorie intake abit for example one day 2300 the next 1500 and alternate.

Think about it. Your body knows its burning huge amounts and your putting little bit back in each day its gonna start thinking about starvation and holding everything.

Because you are not accurately tracking your intake. Get the myfitnesspal app to accurately track cals/macros and I think you will see you are way off from what you currenly think your cals are.

Yes, I have been keeping track and logging everything that I consume. I think if anything my ratio's are a little off from where I would like them but they are close. Although, I have been losing, at a pace I'm comfortable with. Maybe I wasn't giving it enough time before posting. I've lost about 4 since the original post while adding muscle and becoming more defined. I know that isn't much to lose and see noticeable results, but I can see progress. Would still like to drop another 8-10, while adding lean tissue

Are you seriously only eating1500 cals a day of chikn n fruit vegetables? If so then there is a big problem rite there. ...your metabolism is slowing way down because you are starving your body and it will hold on to all the fat it can in order to survive...
look up makwa , catylist, meddx , ( all very knowledgeable nutrition guys) , and read through their forums, .....
You will definitely need to start tracking your macros alongside calories, myfitnesspal is a good app to use and easy to learn....It may seem conterproductive but you need to eat in order to loose bf..gotta get that metabolism going!

Yea it prob is in that ball park. I generally have something small and light around 10am ish, and the. Don't get hungry til the evening when I get home.

Eating like that is part of the problem. You need to eat more frequently. Five or more small meals a day to keep your metabolism running.

I've started to lose a couple and tighten up as well. I know I should eat a few small meals through the day but I'm simply not hungry through the day and I'm on the road with work and refuse to eat most of the food from restaurants bc I don't know how they are prepared as I'm trying to eat clean. Hopefully this is the start to lower my bf%..

I agree completely with what others have said about focusing on bodyfat, not body weight. That said, a few other thiughts:

  1. Track your calories more accurately by using under armour app my fitnesspal.
  2. Do hiit cardio upon waking and before consuming any calories
    Avoid carbs after around 2-3pm
  3. Try to get more protein from natural sources and have less reliance on shakes whenever possible
  4. Spread your calories out between at least 6 meals per day as doing so will keep your metabolism elevated throughout the day
  5. Follow what I find to be the best post on dieting and losing body fat, posted by Makwa: https://www.eroids.com/forum/training-nutrition-diet/weight-loss/the-fas...

Good luck!

Plus muscle weights more than fat you actually be building muscle so you will not see your weight go down it might go up some. sensei is right go by body fat % when you started you should have taken before pictures that way you can literally look at the results plus use body mass clippers I call them there you had the unwanted fat and use them to measure and like every 2-3 weeks or month measure again and see if your body is going down

Pounds dont matter if you are building lean muscle simultaneously. BF percentage is the parameter you should be focusing on. The basis for losing pounds is quite simple. Burn more than you intake consistently over time. Be honest with yourself about what youre eating, and how much youre exercising. If the results arent what you are expecting, change something regardless of what fitbit tells you. DONT rely on Fitbit, rely on the mirror!
