I posted this in the combat sports group but wanted people that aren't members of the group see it as well.
I'm interested in everyone's thoughts on McGregor having his belt stripped..They wait until he DESTROYS Alarez..wins the lightweight belt making an incredible moment of history in the UFC ..and is "rewarded"by getting his belt stripped...And then they GIVE IT..to a man he took it from in 13 seconds..just gave it to him..Jose Aldo...also made history...by being the only fighter to "win" a belt without fighting someone for it..how could he even have any pride walking around with a belt he didn't win? UFC has become a fucking Circus...

I think aldo must feel really good about getting KO'd and then being handed the belt. personally I would be talking so much shit to McGreggor if i was Aldo, I would essentially make him fight me....You know spend 20k on a sick ass video clowning ireland and him, get the irish people to push him into a fight with me. I mean its only going to be worth 5-10 million for aldo if they fight again. IMO aldo is dumb as fuck

TronI'd like to see him fight Stephen Thompson..those two styles would make for sn interesting stand up WAR...Khabib would ground and pound his ass..Stylistically Khabib is a bad match up for McGregor...Look how mendes took McGregor down at will..but gassed because he had little time to train.
Yup I think Khabib would ragdoll his ass and make him look silly. Mendes was dominating early and it was a very questionable stoppage.
No one will take McGregor down at will like Mendes did in that fight again. McGregor evolves better than most in my opinion........the guy hates to fucking lose but acknowledges when he does.
TronBro, I agree he seems to evolve a little more after eacg fight. .But, you can't say FOR SURE NOBODY will ever take him down like that again..Fighters are evolving every damn day..and the UFC is completely unpredictable..I remember when the majority of people said Nate Diaz had no chance to win against McGregor on a 10 day notice..then rocked McGregor and choked him out in the second round..Let's put him in there with Khabib and see what happens with the takedowns....but, McGregor has a way of luring fighters into his game..so you possibly could be correct..I don't try to predict shit in UFC fights anymore..there have been so many upsets over the past year because if these fighters evolving..I'm really ready to see jon Jones back and see how he does (If he doesn't fuck up AGAIN LOL) ...I watched him on joe rogans recent podcast..his excuse more testing positive for clomid was he was taking "dick pills" lol. ...I do not believe ANY "male enhancement" pills have Clomid as an active ingredient seeing how clomid is a controlled substance needed to obtain with a prescription...don't know how I got on jon jones as a subject here..but, anyways.... one thing I can say..is the light heavyweight division needs some more contenders..I want to see Jones vs Rumble.

I'm glad I found McGregor fan page here. I just want to say, if a champion doesn't fight on his weight class for whatever reason, contenders can't wait until the champ decides to go back to the weight division, someone has to have the belt, wether he got it winning a rock/paper/scissors, tossing the coin or was given to him. Why would people think he can win as many belts as he can & just hold them?

I was for Diaz in both of those fights ..but I'm more so pointing out that if they we're going to take the belt they should of done it as soon as he decided to not defend it and fight Alvarez for the lightweight belt. I guarantee you if McGregor would of lost they wouldn't of stripped the featherweight belt. They let him keep it all the way up to the Alvarez fight..then after he wins they take it. It just didnt make sense to me..and then just give it to aldo.

He just got his CA boxing license (intimating towards the Mayweather rumors), and hasnt fought in that weight class for a while. Both sides playing a strategic game, and ultimately UFC will win. UFC doesn't NEED MacGregor, but MacGregor does NEED the UFC. He's got a small window as a fighter to make his big money grab; but UFC has all the control. This ain't boxing, fighters have zero control.

Aldo fought Frankie Edgar and won via decision making him next up to fight Connor, however while Connor moved up in weight classes last three fights he was supposed to defend his belt against Aldo then he could've moved up to fight Alvarez, he selected to not defend his belt leaving it vacant for far too long... Thus, "And New" champ Jose Aldo, they were slated to fight regardless, this to me is a marketing tactic, just my two cents
