Thyroid disorder and aas HELP
ad
What's up guys, long time since I been on. I need some help. My boy has a thyroid disorder. Not sure the exact details, but he's skinny and wants to start using aas. My question is will this affect him in a negative way? He's currently taking tirosint. Is there anything he can use safely? He's thinking of starting out with a beginner cycle of 500mg test cypionate a week. Nothing else. Sorry I don't know more, just trying to help my buddy out. Thank you in advance for any input. It is always greatly appreciated.

Hello my friend, I had an over active thyroid and went from 15St down to 10St in about 1 month so went to see the Doctor and was sent to a specialist and had to take a radio active pill to kill my thyroid off, now I take 150mcg of thyroxine, so I'd recommend you tell your son to go to the doctor first before he starts to use gear because it'll be pointless because his metabolism will be working 4 times as fast as normal, that is just my experience so I hope it goes well for your young fella!
If you need any questions answered just ask! I've been suffering from it from 2007.
There are 2 main thyroid disorders, over active (HYPERthyroidism) and under active (HYPOthyroidism).
What little info the OP did provide is mixed.
The medication mentioned is for a hypothyroid (under active), but the description ie: skinny is more like hyperthyroid (over active).
But the OP hasn't been seen for more than 2 weeks.
Yeah I'v Hyperthyroidism and have to take Levothyroxine 150mcg for the rest of my life, yea now you've said it I never clicked on about the hypo, maybe he's got the doctor involved and that's why he's not been seen for 2weeks.
You HAD hyperthyroid ( over active ), then you took a poison (radioactive) pill to kill off your thyroid gland and now you are hypothyroid ( under active), which is what levothyroxine (T4) is for, it is an artificial way to stabilize your thyroid hormone levels.
Yes exactly its just my wording, I wish I'd have taken the operation route instead of the poison as you so kindly put it lol you sure know how to put the shits up someone hahaha
Tirosint is a hypothyroidism treatment.
Skinny is more a sign of hyperthyroidism.
More questions than answers I have. (Yoda)
No mention of a doctor I see. ( More Yoda)
Very cool you are.
After informing him as to your advice, he has decided against using any aas right now. He is going to focus on diet and training, and getting his thyroid under control before taking anything. Would it help if he posted his blood test results?
The most intelligent thing your friend can do is educate himself. There's plenty of thyroid info on this site. Get him here, and remind him, "education is your #1 priority for the next six months." Teach him to use the magnifying glass and how to search for every new question that pops up in his brain. It's pointless to ask many questions anymore, unless they're directed at members with specific experiences as opposed to "general questions."
Good luck, brother. It's obvious that you care, or you wouldn't be seeking.
Any thyroid info on this site is generalized and or speculative. None if it will help him specifically, and any advice would be reckless and dangerous. Taking that advice would be stupid. He needs doctors supervision only. Reading on the internet to get a decent understanding is one thing, self diagnosis for a life threatening situation is quite another. Gambling with a proper working thyroid is bad enough, fkg with one that's already messed up is just plain dumbass. Even if these posts are bs, some other idiot is also reading it and thinking hmmm, there's what I want to hear.
Damn good points, brother.
When I say, "education is your #1 priority," it simply means just that. Educate. I wouldn't advocate ANYONE to follow in my footsteps without a shit ton of education, and even then, I don't wish my own fate on anybody.
Absolutely.
Thank you for your advice. Greatly appreciate it..
He should be working on dialing in the thyroid medication to have his body at what's considered normal range. Once he gets there, as Makwa said it's all a matter of getting his diet down properly. If his medication is currently keeping his thyroid stable and at the appropriate range, then his advice is no different than any other lightweight on here... AAS will not improve what is not there. No base, no AAS.
Yep. Get that thyroid stabilized and then follow and read the bible

Your work on nutrition and training on this site are gold Mak. It's broken down into the simplest steps that anyone with dedication should be able to follow, and it's sad to see how many don't.
OP, Have a read through Mak's forums on dieting, have your boy register his account on eRoids, and we will help put him on the right path in terms of training and eating so that when he's ready he will have a good foundation built to run AAS.
Will do. Thank you guys for your advice. Last thing I want is for him to fuck himself up, and go backwards.
Browse through the training/diet info and you should have a pretty clear plan on how to help him gain some mass once you are sure thyroid condition is stabilized. Just ask if any questions and something isn't clear.
So he should not use ass? What exactly would it do? And there is no way for him to safely use aas? Ever due to his disorder?
I would highly recommend against it. If he is taking meds for it that should help correct the problem. It's all just a matter of diet and training then.
