On TRT for 3 months. Getting sore nips...
My doctor put me on TRT after my lab work showed extremely low T. Taking Test/Cyp 200mg once a week. Everything was fine for about 6 weeks, then I started feeling sluggish. Libido started to fall off and started getting edema in my hands and feet. I started taking Vit B complex, Vit. C, and Dandelion Root with my daily supplements. It helped some but then my left nipple started to get sore. A week later, the right nipple followed suit. Due for new labs in about 3 weeks. Should I just hold off and wait on labs or should I get some AI's? If yes on the AI's, which ones? I have researched all of them and really not sure where to start. I probably need some Clomid or hCG as well.
I need to do something because the wife thinks I'm having an affair because we were knocking it out 5+ times a week and now I really don't have a drive at all. Maybe first thing in the morning, but other than that nothing. To top it off, the other night in the middle of sex, I lost my erection. That is honestly the first time that has ever happened.
I could really use some advice.

The one thing that I do have a lot of now is time... lol. Just haven't made time to get on here and update.
First things first, After having my blood drawn I was instructed to go home and take 25mg of Exemestane and to take 12.5mg EOD until I noticed a change in the tenderness of my nipples. After that, switch to taking 12.5mg E3D as needed until tenderness is gone and to notify the Dr. if there were any side effects. I felt a difference after the 3rd dose. Sex drive is back and feeling a bit Alpha at times. Energy levels are back to normal and no more moodiness. So far no sides.
Went in Tuesday to get the results of my labs and they were as follows: (Starting levels and new levels)
Cortisol 13.50 ug/dL to 9.43 ug/dL
E2 5 pg/mL to 122 pg/mL
Testosterone 129.31 ng/dL to 754.63 ng/dL

Your estro increased after you started your AI?
I started the AI after the blood work was drawn. So these numbers reflect where my levels were when I started TRT(1st #) and where they were before I started taking the AI(2nd #).
Talk to your doctor about an AI like ARIMIDEX or a SERM like NOLVADEX
He gave me Exemestane 12.5mg to start taking after my labs are drawn Monday morning.
I have also looked into SERM's, but the more I read the more confused I get. There will not be an interruption in my TRT so would there be a need for a SERM? Can they be taken at the same time as an AI? If so, I have access to Clomid. A friends wife took it to help get prego and she has 60 50mg tablets that she said i can have if I want them.
On a side note: On Wednesday Aug 10, my position at my job was eliminated. I will have insurance through the end of the month. I have another job, but my benefits will not start until Nov. 1 or Dec. 1 so my TRT will be interrupted. What steps do I need to take to prepare for this interruption?
talk to your doctor, explain what is going on. Ask his if he would be willing to write you a scrip for 3 -5 month of self administered trt.
Saw the Dr. yesterday and gave him the rundown on everything. He gave me some Exemestane to take starting Monday and for the next few days to get my estrogen problem in check and to take as needed to keep everything on the good side. I am having labs done Monday morning to see where everything stands. He is going to write me a Rx for 3 months of Test/Cyp to take at home while I wait for my new insurance to begin coverage.
When I started TRT my insurance would only pay for 3 take home injections at a time, but I could have it filled every 3 weeks. It ended up being the same amount of injections but I would have to pay 4 Rx co-pays for 3 months of meds. I chose to have the injections done in the office since there was no co-pay. Now my insurance will pay for a 3 months supply if I get it from their "home delivery" service. $15 for a 3 month supply of Test/Cyp sounds pretty good to me.
Ask your doc about getting the pellet implants. these will last up to 6 months until you need to get a new batch put in.
I will do some research on the pellets and add this to my GIANT list of things to hit him with today. He's going to work for my $30 co-pay today.

I have an appointment to see my Dr. today @ 5pm. I am going to give him a rundown on everything that is going on and request that we do some fasting blood work tomorrow morning.
Most insurances don't cover AI's. If yours do, holding out for blood work is up to you. I personally would not.
Are you doing your own injections? If so, split the dosage into two or three times over the week. I do 50mg every three days. It prevents unstable levels, highs and lows.
Without blood work, we are all guessing, but given your description of the situation, I would do Adex .5mg every three days. That's considered aggressive but we are coming at this blind. You can reevaluate once you get new labs.
Clomid and HCG; you don't need this. Are you trying to have a child? HCG causes aromatizing that is not prevented by and AI. You don't want to add that in the mix until you're stable. Even then, with no kids in sight, don't use it.
I get the injections at the Dr's office once a week. So I wont be able to split the dose.
No children in my future. Had the Big V in 2001.
Is there a vitamin/mineral/herb that is a natural AI that I can add to my daily supplements? Just did a thorough exam and I appear to have some signs of Gyn. I can deal with the soreness but I can't handle Moobs. I need something that will work and work fast.
No supplement is going to prevent it. Lets keep this simple. Call your doctor explain you're growing tits and you want to be seen tomorrow or Monday. No ands, ifs or buts; you're growing tits and he needs to make time to address it.
Demand to be seen ASAP because you are having some complications.
