PCT Bloodwork Concerns: Really high LH and not sure what to do

ad

Hey guys,

I'm four weeks into my pct after my first cycle.

I ran 500mg of test e for 10 weeks. I waited three weeks after my last pin taking only hcg and then started pct with 75mg clomid and 40mg nolva for two weeks. Then I tapered down to 50mg clomid and 20mg nolva for another two weeks.

I just got my blood checked and have some concerns. Here are all the results outside normal levels.

1) My LH was at 27 which is insanely high and I don't understand why.
2) My estradiol is at 57, although I was running the novla which was supposed to lower it.
3) My test is at 850 still. My pre-cycle level was about 450. Is it normal to be almost double your baseline t level after a cycle? I thought t levels would drop below what they were before I started.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I agree getting bloods pulled in another month or two. those reading should give a more accurate evaluation of your situation. I've had bloods pulled 3 or 4 weeks after using light Nolvadex for a random gyno flair up off Cycle and my levels came back too good to be true as well. the good news is that your pct sounds like it went well and your meds were legitimate so that's relieving, assuming the lab values are in fact accurate readings.

What was your fsh at? You'll get a better idea of where you are really at if you pull bloods 6-8 weeks after pct is completed. Nothing to worry about right now, your body is trying to get back into hormonal balance.

My FSH is at 8.1 which is medium high in the normal range. Thanks for the advice, I guess I just didn't know what to expect at the end of a PCT.

LH is going to be high even after PCT due to the clomiphene.

Estro at 57...ok. Did you take arimidex or aromasin while you were on cycle and did you take it while using HCG? I'm curious. Nolva doesn't lower estro, it only keeps it from binding to receptors.

Test at 850 when your precycle was 450 is normal. It will go down over time. It's elevated due to PCT and the high LH correlates with this. As LH goes down, so will test.

I did take adex during cycle. I didn't know how much I needed since this was my first cycle. I started with .25mg eod and my mid cycle estradiol was 127. I started taking 1mg a day to crash it for a week or so and brought it down to about 25, and then did maintenance at .5mg ed. Now its crept back up to 59, probably because I stopped taking adex after I started PCT.

Should I have kept up the adex during PCT to keep estradiol in check?

No, you don't want to take adex during PCT as it's counterproductive. Aromasin isn't though and can actually be taken during PCT because it helps and keeps your estro from rebounding after you come off adex.

So overall you don't think this is anything to worry about?

I've felt fine pretty much the whole PCT. I read Clomid could make you feel really shitty, but I never got those feelings luckily. I did notice myself feeling a little off the last week, and also my strength and motivation for working out suffered. I've been holding onto almost all the weight I put on as well. I've dropped a few pounds in the last week but I'm up about 17 or so overall.
