TRT mix in light cycle
ad
Not quite 40 yet, will be 37 in July, and have been on TRT for 3 months now. Tried Androgel in the past with my regular doctor, but never really helped, went to my urologist this time. Multiple blood tests with my urologist and dialed into self inject 200 mg per week per doctor. Doc was happy with blood test results and I feel better. I would like to run a light cycle adding in appx 150 mg of Test C and maybe 50-100 mg of Mast E per week. I am thinking drop back down to just the doc prescribed 200 mg per week 2 weeks before next blood test in mid August. Does that sound like plenty of time to get my blood results back in line with last blood test on the 200 mg per week?

I have to agree, 3 months is barely enough time to get going. Give it 9 more months, you are going to see results at 200mg per week - I assume twice weekly dosing? What were your blood levels at the end of 3 months, I would have to assume they were on the high side of normal.
Everybody wants results yesterday, but use the time, work on the diet, beat the shit out of the iron with what you have - you will be bigger this time next year and your doc will have a lot more to work with - and so will you when it is time to design a first cycle.
Last test with doctor at 200 mg per week of Test C results were:
Test total = 529
Test free = 165 pg/ml
Test % Free = 3.1%
PSA total = .6 ng/ml
Doctor was happy when we got to here and said continue on and my next test is mid August. I have noticed a difference the past month or so, feeling better overall, more energy.
That's a bit lower than what I would have thought (but of course I don't know where you started). Feeling better and having more energy is going to carry you far and your body composition will change. It's hard not to want to dive in head first.....
Are you taking test twice a week or once a week?
Doc said only shoot once a week. I have been following that, but considering moving to twice a week. I have read all the pros of twice a week and feel that is probably the better option.
I believe that twice a week is the better option, do you notice a difference in the way you feel at the end of the week as opposed to 24 or 48 hours after you dose?
Sorry, but two shots a week for the rest of your life is not realistic and quite depressing. Trt is not a cycle. Usually test e or c is fine for weekly shots (trt). I've switched to test-u, once every ten days and I'm much happier. Way too much scar tissue at twice a week.
Maybe the last day a little, but not that bad.
May I ask when you were tested post injection? I'm assuming day 6? Most of the evidence nowadays shows that bi-weekly injections keep the levels stable, compared to once weekly. My trt protocol is 70mg test c, twice weekly, plus hcg, 400 IU twice weekly = TT right around 1000, and free test at the high end. TT in the 500's is on the lower end of trt scales. Before adding anything, I'd ask your doc to try twice weekly and pooisbly the addition of hcg. Get that dialed in, then add as you'd like. Remember, the more test you add, the higher your hematocrit, rbc's, and estradiol go with it....then you have to add an AI and, in some cases, give blood every 3 months. I get it though, there's nothing like that Superman feeling!
Was either day 5 or day 6. I will see how my results look in mid August next time I go back. I have been happy with results so far of starting Test Cyp for TRT and don't want to push the doctor to far past his recommendations, do not want to come across the wrong way with him. A lot of positives came from starting this as I have seen after a few months of this form of TRT, better overall feeling of wellness, definitely more energy and strength, much higher libido. Androgel didn't have me feeling a quarter as good as this does.
So you want to stay on a continuous light ( 350 mg/ week of Test Cyp + another compound ) light cycle? Only coming off cycle to fool your doctor.
The answer is NO !! ........... ( and your doctor is not the fool in this case.)
No, the idea was a light beginner short cycle to see how I do on it along with diet and exercise. Not a year round idea at all. I figured with the half life of Test C, I could do this light cycle for appx 5 weeks to see how it works out for me and stop appx 2 weeks before next scheduled blood test to give enough time to have blood level at my normal TRT level. Not trying to be a fool.
You have been on TRT for 3 months, ( give or take ). Your blood levels are just now starting to stabilize. And now you want to screw with them.
Again the answer is NO.
No it doesn't sound like enough time and that little bit if extra gear won't do much. Definitely not worth risking your script. Wait until you only have to see your doc twice a year. Then run your blasts right after your bloodwork. That way you'll have 2-3 months for your bloods to normalize before seeing your doc next.
Sage advice I think I'm going to abide by. Thanks Chucky.
