GH for recovering health

ad

I'll start with a succinct background on myself to give readers a perspective. About 2 years ago, I started noticing intermittent bouts of fatigue. I was a full time university student working 25 hrs a week as a cook; both very stressful environments. I was also training jiu jitsu 3-4 days a week. The fatigue wasn't major, very much akin to a low grade “coffee crash”. I shrugged it off. This continued for ~6 months. Then everything started falling apart. Memory problems, libido issues, insomnia, substantial lack of energy, ect. I had no idea what was going on at the time. Fast forward 6 months. My condition is just as bad, but now I know what's going on. I got some blood work done; modest endocrine dysfunction. Thyroid/gonads/adrenals were all operating at pretty low levels. TSH was as high as 11, free T bottomed out at 202 ng/dl. Cortisol spiked at night. I felt like complete shit.

Now I'm here today, about 2 years after this. I'm on a load of supplements to manage what my body can't do without, but I can get through the day with relative ease. However, I'm still not normal. Thinking is slow – I used to be a witty dude with a great memory. Now I get C's on exams and social interactions seem to happen at a pace that I can't keep up with. Sleep has improved to an extent, but still having a hard time falling asleep. Getting out of bed is difficult (ie, very groggy). In the past 6 months, I've only worked out as I normally would for about 1 of them. No more jiu jitsu, weights, or running. Picked up yoga though (love it).

Hope that gives a bit of an idea where I'm at. Now, my interest is in GH. Based on what I've read so far, some people use GH for its anti aging benefits. Looking at my history, I see an aging body. I'm young yet (24), which is why I'm concerned. I'm concerned about the long term integrity of my organs. Have I pushed them too far? Will they recover? Will I ever feel normal again? So this brings me to GH. If GH is anti aging, then it is effectively enhancing the function of the body. Anyone that has used real GH will likely attest to this, based on my readings. Maybe it would allow for a faster recovery? I see people use it for injuries. Is this different than a muscular/ligament/tendon? I don't know. I haven't found anybody using GH for the purposes that I'm interested in using it for, which is to recover from hormonal dysfunction. The rationale is that the GH will help to repair organs and also improve general well being. The general well being is important because thoughts have an impact on how well the body works. This is fringe stuff, so I won't get into it here, but that is my belief (yes, just a belief).

I'm not looking to jump into this blind. I am taking time here to gather information and opinions so that I can make a better decision. My biggest concern is long term consequences. People say GH is relatively safe compared to things like AAS, but in my experience, when you put hormones into the body there will be some form of endogenous hormone down regulation. What is it like coming off GH?

I know I'm young for GH, so spare the “too young” post. I want to know how dangerous, if at all, this may be and what kind of long term consequences I'm looking at. I'd run at 1-2 IUs, so dosing on the lower side

IronGame nailed it. I'd go to a different Endo and have them work on your levels.

That's very interesting and I do have the same problem, believe it or not. The doctors were not able to give me any answers and left me with a prescription for Prozac and Klonopin at night, to sleep. I have a nail fungus on both hands - could be candida causing the fatigue? I dunno but I take Diflucan 200 mg once a week, any more then that and I'm "dead" tired.

Did your symptoms start after going through a very stressful period in your life? Cause that how mine got triggered. Studying while working full time, taking care of sick family member, anger at work, etc. etc.

As for hgh, I didn't find it helpful....maybe pharma grade is different. I ran MK-677 and that was truly a good experience, had to stop because shit made me eat like crazy.....

I'll be 40 next year and my joints are cracking, arthritis in my hip, foot, recently had a dislocated finger - playing football when drunk will do that ha...ha...anyway.

Good luck and hope you get it sorted out.

This is a bit random and Im not saying this to be funny but have you thought about male PCOS?

I appreciate your not here for a diagnosis but another tangential diagnosis may be fibromyalgia (as a cause, not because of)

If I had stuck with my doctor, I wouldn't be here today. After seeing 3 endos, nurses, and a GP, I realized that they were not trained in restoring health. They know how to keep patients alive, but not much more. The endos didn't even recognize test levels of 202 ng/DL @ age 23 as an issue...that's around what a 70 year old male should be

thank you bro

Just a quick post, we don't give out advice to guys under 25. Your situations a little different. I'm just gonna tell you about the dangers. We don't know the long term concequecnes of using gh. It hasn't been studied. But they did some studies on mice over there life span. As we get older our gh production decreases dramatically. Remember gh converts to igf-1. So the had two groups, one where they didn't give them anything and another where they gave them gh as they got older and there's declined as replacement. The group that recivedc gh to keep normal igf-1 levels as they aged died much earlier then the ones they let nature take its course. So the body does thsse things for a reason like decreasing gh levels as we age. It's a trade off basically, take the gh and look better and feel better and younger as you get older but risk earlier mortality or let the body work as designed and feel like shit as you get older but possibly live longer. They call it the fountain of youth but the few studies done have shown if shortens life span. There is always gonna be a few people like Stallone who are old in good health and still look great but he's most likely and outlier.

That doesn't really pertain to you and your situation though, just wanted to get it out there for you to see. Your condition isn't like a muscle or tendon tear, so I'm not sure. Sorry you're in this situation.

The dangers of gh are easily found by a quick Google search. Look at the risks and weigh the pros to the cons and make your decision

Lastly though, at your age and the fact you have already had problems with your endocrine system I'm not sure if I would want to introduce exogenous hormones into your system, especially since your only 24 and there's a chance your endo system isn't fully developed ( most males finish around 25, some sooner some later) and the risk of damage is higer before it fully developes.

so for someone who is in there 30s what is the dosage you would think is a good idea? 2 to 3 iu?
from my understanding 5iu or more creates muscle and thats from gh converting to igf, and i imagine the more gh we use the more taxing it is on our bodies?

all ive read is how gh prolongs life etc etc
this is totally the other side of the story i never heard. and like anything in life theres always two sides. the side people want you to see and the otherside thats actually happening.
i did not know that it shortened the life span of mice when taking gh. im in my 30s and started using gh and this is the first time ive read this. thanks for sharing. food for thought

Thanks for posting your perspective. You've got me thinking deeper now; that's good.
