I don't wanna look like one of those bodybuilder girls
ad
It really blows my mind when a woman states she doesn't want to get too big and look like those bodybuilder girls.
Well i got news for you sweetheart...The odds are stacked way against you if you think that's going to happen anytime soon.
Do these people understand what it actually takes to transform their body to ever look like that?
I'd like to hear some female perspective to this. And you vets to the game must hear this from your peers all the time.

Yep, ignorant af! In general people have a real strange perception of "the fitness world." I've had lots of ladies tell me they don't want to look like me. (I'm really not big!- def not body builder status. I just have a good muscle base and stay relatively lean) Like one lady looked at me and said but I don't want arms that big- I looked at her and her arms were definitely about as big as mine except with fat instead of muscle...I guess it all depends on one's perception. Usually when people tell me this stuff I keep my mouth shut or tell them don't worry they don't have the genetics (ability, experience, or drive) to look like me so don't worry!
But honestly, why does everyone want to be average and weak? Heaven forbid we reach our physical potential.
I've been training for 28 years and I still don't look like "those" bodybuilder girls I look like "this" bodybuilder girl! I've only done a small amount of anavar and I loved the affects but I would never have the balls to hit the hard stuff and man I wish I could get all hard, chiseled and big being al natural but compared to average women I blow them outta the water so i'm ok with it. but yah 28 years of training has never gotten me the rock hard ass of a man that I've always wanted (please don't take the literally) ;-P
You do have a very nice look, muscular and still feminine. You posted some nice pics a couple years ago, It's funny how a mans brain works.... for certain things I have a photographic memory.
lol yah its time to post some new ones this way you won't need to rely on memory ;)
I had the same outlook when I got started & I completely agree with your statement of "the odds are stacked against you". I started out with a athletic physique but at my age time & minimal/sporatic workout had taken its toll. Don't get me wrong, I do have good genes & a much better base than most women my age but get so annoyed when friends say "I want what she's taking". They need to wake up & realize my physique is courtesy to what I take but also working out 5-6 days a week. I work hard to get what gains I have but am still not where I want to be, completely toned! Don't think your going to be in body building shape after 1 cycle much less 2 or 3 cycles ladies!!
Take out the cycle part...
If you don't work out, diligently, with a program, doesn't matter how many things you take, you're not going to look good- if anything you're going to look worse. End of the day, to get in "bodybuilding shape" is a second full time job... that one needs to do with dedication!!
I should have been a little more clear as to what I mean by "cycle". I follow the Beast program so it's12 weeks at a time. I follow it 12 weeks, working out 5-6 days a week, then at the end of the 12 weeks I take a week off & start again.
Oh how I missed my sisterhood! (Yes this was due to my own absence but none the less I missed you all)
I understand the general naive statement of "I don't want to look like a man" because that's what I used to say all the time. General thought - Lift Like a Man Look Like a Man
Boy was I wrong and couldn't be more happier. Now when I hear statements like that it really depends on who its coming from. My cousin competes in figure and I so proud of her I show her off to anyone and everyone. I do hear the 'oh I would never want to look like her' I simply say Don't worry you never will. Haven't found anyone to take it beyond that. If its an actual friend or someone I know I try to educate them on the handwork, discipline and self drive to become an amazing Lady Beast. But anyone now in my life well knows my stance on meal plans, training, dedication and over all badassery needed to be at your best and beyond.
I look up to all of you no matter where you are on your journey to being Lady Beasts!
I wish I could get ripped! hahah... Lifting makes you MORE curvy, not LESS.
I don't have that issue though- I am in an environment where girls wish they were as strong as I am. They never worry about getting "big".
I usually hear the "I don't want to get tooo big" lol.... I usually just shake my head because they don't hear anything else anyway. Frankly if they want to look like young teenage boys then have at it. It is rather obvious that they have no idea what it takes to put on that kind of muscle mass and that it certainly requires the genetics after a point which most people don't posess anyway. They don't have the discipline time patience or will to do it.
I don't think I have ever had a woman tell me she didn't want to look like me. I suppose I can take it one of two l ways ... either I am not big (which my body dysmorphic mind tells me I am not) or I am so big that they are scared to tell me ... I just know how I want to look and it isn't like a tooth pick
I can (sort of) understand what they mean, I dont plan on being ripped as some of you ladies, i am well aware of the blood, sweat and tears you all must put in....
I want to get lean and toned, and so i dont have "saggy arms" as MissTonyTulo stated... but i personally i think id look like a crazed muscley midget if i got as ripped as some of you lovelies!
Being ripped and throbbing isnt some peoples cups of tea... but being rude about it and point at someone and saying i dont want to look like her, is pretty shitty IMO
The funny thing is watching the ones who do get into weight lifting, at least, realize the impact it makes vs. cardio. All my gf's only did cardio, never wanted to get big blah blah. And after years of watching me barely do cardio they've all jumped on the weight train and are loving the results. I haven't intro'd them to the cycle train yet but baby steps ;)
Outside of the T and A.... I'd like to look as ripped as some of those bodybuilding girls
It's one of the most annoying things a girl can say to me. And there's no telling them different.
And many guys say the same thing. Fact is they just don't have it in them to do what it takes.
My wife said the same thing to me. Now she's obsessed with training and doesn't look jacked like she thought she would lol.
My wife will love this.
Ah Thursday morning optimism...lol
