I hear ya I recently realized I had to switch up after having 4 injuries in less than 2 years...now it's lighter weight higher reps and more controlled movements...gotta lift for the long haul
I hardly ever lift heavy anymore and usually in 12-15 rep range focus on controlling movement and pump. I still do all the major compound movements but about once a month or so I do all hammer or machines to give joints complete break. College ball beat my joints to shit and all the years of heavy lifting when I first started for first couple years. I think it's fine early on in lifting career but agree as u age lift smarter and not with ego
I agree 100 percent. Lifting heavy is great and all, and I really do love a good heavy session but I work a pretty labor intensive job, and frankly my career is more important than impressing folks at the gym. besides, I lift because I enjoy it and I'd rather enjoy it long term then feel aches and joint pain every day, that's no fun
Agreed. I'll save the heavy lifting to the powerlifters and ego maniacs. Like you said nothing wrong with it every once in a while but I feel it just beats the shit out of me without much benefit. I get more results from lighter controlled movements and it allows me to actually function outside of the gym without feeling like I belong in a retirement home from the aches haha

2nd P2' comment. Improve on the weight first, and learn to eat. If you cycle at you current condition, your gains will most likely be minimal, then lost since your body isnt used to eating at the amount it needs to. Food really is the hardest thing to conquer in this lifestyle/hobby. Took me awhile to realize it, but it is a fact. "You are what you eat" holds very true eapecially when trying to bulk or cut.
P2i2t5'7" , 150lbs??? Id say no cycle and get your diet on point and go and put in some serious gym time and you can easily put on another 20lb natty before even thinking about a cycle. Cycles should be last resort after everything you are doing natty has stopped working and has you platued for at least 6 months solid. And at 5'7"150lb and that high of bf%, you're not even close to your natty potential. Not trying to put you down at all and I'm sure this is the last thing you want as a reply but this is the absolute truth.
