5x5 or German Volume Training.

I'm about to begin a cycle; and want to reamp the routine; been kind of "maintenance" training...not too hard but enough to maintain awaiting everything...
What program do you prefer? 5x5 or GVT? Even though of doing the 5x5 from week 1-8; and GVT week 9 into PCT phase...thought and opinions??

Always good to stick with something for 6-8 weeks at s clip. Go for it. One of the hardest things for me to do is stick with the plan when it comes to a bb routine. Powerlifting is easier for some reason.

Don't count reps...that's the first thing. Findo failure and push past it. Drop sets, rest pa use etc. Max hypertrophy was found to be bt 6-12 reps but there is new evidence that you can have the same growth with less weight pushing to true muscle failure

While I think it's good advice that reps can be a little overrated, the important part of levelups statement is to push to failure. So whatever program you do, ensure the weight you use brings you to failure before or by the required reps you choose.

Volume is key, time under tension , having a mind muscle connection and focussing on the target muscle, with good form wins time and time again . There is no magic number or magic weight it comes down to the intensity and the quality of the workout.
