Working out with an injury

ad

So it's been 5 days since I broke my foot. I've been on the couch with my foot elevated most of the time. I feel fat. I know I am not fat but you know the feeling you get if you miss the gym for a few days. That feeling is driving me nuts.

I'm trying to think of things I can do, I am lucky enough to have a squat rack with bench and all kinds of accessories down stairs. I have only used it for squats, but clearly that's out for quiet a while. But really, REALLY want to work out.

So I need some ideas, and if anyone has ever had a busted foot how long did it take to heal? I have never broken a bone. And technically it's not broken, I fractured two of my metatarsals and there's a chip off the top of one.

Bench press. Seated shoulder press. Incline bench press? Seated barbell db/bb curl. Incline db curl. Just off the top my head.

When I first hurt my back I was bedridden for a month and let me tell you that was the worst feeling in my life! A hopelessness when you wake up everyday thinking hopefully this heals quick and nope your still stuck in bed, talk about anxiety, but now that it's over I've grown more wiser because of it i.e. Training smarter. This will soon pass and you'll be back looking better than ever. I think i'm in the best shape in my life/still work to be done, but i got chubbs on the time off, but muscle memory is awesome and now I'm back. Best wishes

Anxiety is a good word. I am addicted to the gym, and not being able to go is stressing me out lol

As soon as your at the point where it's in the cast and it doesn't hurt anymore I would be doing upper body. And rowing for cardio.

I guess I'm just worried that will be a long time from now. I can manage about an hour up without crutches but after that it hurts. I'm never had a real injury so it's annoying. Plus I'm a helpless couch potato it sucks.

Well I think all you can do at this point is up the tren.

Never dealt with a foot injury but I couldnt imagine how crazy it would drive me being stuck on the couch an not being able to do anything..just take it easy for awhile a let ur body heal and you will be killen the squats in no time.
