+ 1 Oily skin on face- leading to redness/dry skin around nostrils/eyebrow area

ad

Ive suffered with oily skin since puberty. Its the Dego in me. Thanks mom.
It has led to pimples/irritated skin. No major acne, but I get flare ups of red/dry skin (flaking) around the sides of my nostrils. it looks pretty gross if let to be. Its basically due to yeast/fungi as gross as that sounds.

Test makes my oily skin on my face achieve its full potential. I could collect it and deep fry food In it for anyone that's into that ($2,000 an ounce).( kidding. unless you really want it we can work something out).

but for anyone sharing this problem. a remedy I use to combat this redness irritation and drying around nose (along with proactive for the overall oiliness/pimples) is after you take a shower, rub some baby lotion (fragrance free) on the area and then immediately put some cheap anti fungal cream on the area. best to do this before you go to bed.
it should start to clear up immediately. repeat when needed.

the medical term for this is Seborrheic Dermatitis. You will know what I am talking about if you have this issue.

Don't use any drying agents or alcohols anywhere near this area. this will make it way worse. also don't use Neosporin or any other antibiotic ointments. I have learned this the hard way.

edit: also using anti dandruff shampoo on your hair and letting it run down your face when rinsing will help it a bit, since its basically dandruff of the face.

I rid my oily skin by keeping it simple. I always make sure to wash my face with soap in the shower every day really good and then when out the shower, I splash with cold water to close those pores. Helps, plus I sweat it out with intense HIIT cardio on a regular.

This is what you need:

30 days of Mitomycin antibiotic 100 mg ed
30 days of Desonide ointment twice a day

weeks 3&4 you will see a major improvement. Go see a derm and get some prescription

Ive been to one. they gave me some Rx grade ointment and it worked but honestly the cheap home anti fungal cream worked just as well.
