+ 1 HRT, for women?
Ok ladies, I'm curious about HRT. Not because I need it but because I'd like to regulate my hormone levels. Let's face it, one of the most annoying things about being female is the roller coaster of hormones. I recently had a cancer scare and my Dr's were talking about removing ovaries and a full hysterectomy so that got me researching HRT and it sounded lovely to me. Fast forward to now and I'm healthy as a horse and my Dr's are idiots.
Clearly there are compounds that alter my hormones, I'm on a var cycle and my hormones are steady it's awesome sauce. I am aware I cannot run Var forever, though I'm not 100% sure why a low dose would be detrimental to my health. I had bloods done last week before an MRI and everything was "perfect" according to the tech.
I'm asking because there are a lot of things out there, and a lot of you are a lot more educated than I am on the subject. I'm done having kids, I really have no use for ovulating all it does is fuck up my life once a month and give me a migraine :/

I know this is old but I figured id chime in. My moms on hrt cause she couldn't deal with menopause. She was getting bad hot flashes and migraines and night sweats. I think she takes progesterone. She's more then 20 years older then you tho.
Thanks
i ve had to use estradiol and progesterone to replace what I was making on my own ... loved it..
I've seen those, that's kind of why I'm poking around this topic. My thinking is if I get bloods done on a day when I feel awesome I can use that as my base and figure out how to stay at that level all the time. Seems like a good theory, but I'm not sure how to do it. I have about one week a month where I feel just awesome, a week of blah, and two weeks of "normal" I'd like more of that awesome feeling. Plus if I got the hormones under control I could kick a lot of migraine medication to the curb.
I'm not a lady of course but my wife was suffering from lack of libido; overweight; and depression. She started to take that estrogen cream and after a couple weeks she bounced back. She stopped taking it after about 2 months because it helped kickstart her for some reason. Now she is back in the gym and she is like a fkn horny schoolgirl. She is only 29 and she wanted to have her lady stuff removed so she could never have periods and because we have no plans for kids ever (we are too selfish). She is currently on the iud or whatever it is that stops you from having kids and periods for 5 years. So the cream helped balance her back. She alternates by taking it for 2 months on and 2 months off.
Yeah I had an IUD once, it didn't work out lol My husband has a vasectomy so I could avoid birth control. Female hormones are weird, I know once I go off cycle all the BS that goes with PMS will return :/
I'll be getting my boys clipped next year so she can get it out of her finally.
that particular iud completely shuts the system down for some women... i had the same issue and I was procuding NO estrogen what so ever... I went on bio identical replacement and used that for some years until i started running cycles which kicked up my own production again ...
maybe thats why the cream does wonders for her. Never knew it shuts you down like that. The doctor never said that when she had it put in.
of course not ..neither did mine .. I dont think that they know .. I went to several endos before one said to me ... Well THATS your problem ...
