Needle Size - A Word of Advice

ad

What's up all my Hulkamaniacs.....remember to take your vitamins and say your prayers! Sorry, flashback.

Anyway, ive always used 23g pins to draw and injections but decided, for the sake of saving a few seconds to go ahead and try 20g pins to draw. And well, they work great and save time however I have found that they actually core out holes in the rubber that ends up in the gear, rendering it useless unless you dont mind small chunks of rubber injected in to your ass.

So dont make the same mistake. I recommend 23g to draw and inject. Ive tried and 25g to inject and it takes way to fucking long. Dont get me wrong, no need to rush the process but injecting with a 25g needle is like being stuck behind some slow fuck on the highway.

So for the sake of the gear, stick with MJ's or as most refer to them as 23's.

Woo Yea!!

I used to shoot gear out of a 29 gauge 1" insulin syringe if I was only hitting 1mL or less, no probs. I couldn't imagine shooting anything bigger than 25G though. When I give blood every 8 weeks they pin me with a 16G harpoon and it's intimidating as fuck.

No..Just no..I've been using 25g and 23g for years...Why change?? Personally I wouldn't go higher or lower..Know anything about hydraulics?? Think pressure washer and fire hose. Make sense??

noveskeelite's picture

Don't see why anyone would pin with anything bigger than a 25g. takes me about 15-20 seconds to shoot 1ml with a 25. and that's purposely injecting slow. I could push it in faster if I wanted. Actually gonna try using a 27.

I draw with a 20g........replace with 25 and inject. Doubt the stopper will chunk off into vial but JUST in case I always inspect the oil in syringe to make sure before I inject.

So your saying you can ram 1ml of oil in a muscle in less than 5 seconds? Great advice bro!! Now how about some stats!?!

VIKING EVOLUTION's picture

15-20 secs he said bro......... he said or did nothing wrong?

cdyrdes's picture

I realized that I misunderstood his post after he replied back and I couldnt edit. He did nothing wrong..vik

pretty sure that's NOT what I said..........bro

My best MEET lifts are in my profile

Vitamin-V you are a f'in monster bro, no homo.

50+ years old.... your the man!

Thank you brother...... i do try my best to hold onto as much muscle as i can these days without crippling myself lol... it dont get any easier bro let me tell ya lmao! proper use of PEPS seems to be the way forwards for me, ive had spectacular results lately and felt unbelievable..... i have made my mind up now to only run test throughout the year and only bring onboard other compounds when comp prepping.

I'm listening big bro. I like these little tips. I keep my eye out for them.

I posted this on another post but I think it pertains here too.........
This was a good read! I've found that any oil that I've injected so far can easily be pushed through a 27 gauge pin. I don't think many have thought of this so I'm going to throw it out there. This is tried and true as I do this now on any injection of 1 ml or less. I've tried heating oils which does help but there's no need. Most common vessel for pinning is a 3 ml. If you use a 1 ml syringe then it's simple math -PSI- (pounds per square inch) no real need to heat for flow because you will actually have to slow down with heated oil. Some heat oil to help with pip. That's a different topic. Although just moving to a 27 verses a 25 helps cut down on pip simply because the needle is smaller. Because you're applying the same amount of force on a smaller diameter plunger the PSI nearly triples which equals greater pressure creating a quicker flow. Hope this helps someone. Not just my opinion. It's a mathematical fact! +1 for the write up and ability to use this post as a pinning think tank!

I always saw "PIP" as 'post' injection pain associated with whats happening with the compound at the injection site after deposition not the pain from the needle itself.

BlackDoug's picture

It's both really but mostly after absorption of the oil. Then you're left with crystallization in the muscle, or if you didn't go deep enough and it ends up in the fatty tissue. There are several reasons why pip occurs but needle size is one of them. The main point here was to be able to use a smaller needle to create less scar tissue to keep this injection site usable as long as possible especially while injecting with short esters and more frequent injections are necessary.....

I use luer Lock needles, one to draw, then I switch it out and pin with a new one. No worries about contamination.

+1 bro. I bought a huge box of 3cc with 25 needles and it takes forever to draw and is hard to push the plunger.

I use 22's to pin, the lady at the pharmacy refuses to give me anything else but doesn't bother me at all anymore. I used to pin with 25's and going to 22's I thought it would feel worse but its about the same shit.

RickRock1086's picture

I rather take my 60 seconds while injecting with my 25G's. Painless to me

BlackDoug's picture

It does take longer to inject with a 25 but the idea is to create as little scar tissue as possible. To keep the injection site usable as long as possible.....

Pale's picture

Exactly! Slower is better. I draw with 22g and inject with a 25g, rock and roll!

X2... never a problem
