Rule about posting pics of packaging?
ad
Ok so I understand we are not supposed to show pics of the packages but what about the inside of the pack like the way it is wrapped up or how it was secured? Obviously you wouldn't want to show what the package looks like from the outside but what about a pic of say just the inside that shows how the vials are placed/secured? I lost a karma point for showing a pic of a very poorly secured set of vials but it did not show anything that could give away future packages from that source or anything like that.

Why is it important for you to show or give more detail than to say it was good, or it was bad? What more does it bring to the table?
Have you ever saw one of those movies where a customs cop finds the coke shipment that was molded into flower vases? stuffed inside a teddy bear? It's like that. Any info that would describe or give a clue as to the heft, size, shape, and possible x-ray image of a shipment is too much info and over all useless for our needs.
There are thousands of members on this site, each with their own idea of "reasonable risk". That is evident even within the few members participating in this thread.
The simplest and safest solution. Zero tolerance for describing or posting pictures of packaging, inside or out.
We take you at your word. The vials were poorly secured. Enough said.
Just take the items completely out of the package and take your pic. No need to complicate the situation. This is self explanatory! 1 Karma point is nothing
I personally like the fact that this is a topic for discussion here versus other boards/sites because there is a fine line between what everyone should know versus too much information. It is nice to see that this thread has been added to now for 8 months! Keeping one-step ahead and everyone informed is a daunting task. I see a number of perspectives here and they all are valid! With that said, I would have to err on the side of caution when it comes to photos! If a packaging concern keeps being mentioned in reviews, as the consumer, you have to consider it! If you haven't read the reviews, then you have no one to blame but yourself! However, I can't see knocking someone for trying. If everyone was this diligent at just checking each other, not knocking them, I think we'd have the best dialog--dialog that is truly useful! People, like me, are moving here for this very reason! I hope things stay this way!
Take it out of the packing completely and there is no problem. I wanna see pics of gear. Not packing.
AnonI negged a post for showing how products were secured. A day later an ADV tag member said he couldn't believe the dude "lost karma" for that. Then the dude that did it said a mod "fixed it" for him. "Gave me a +3" so I went and looked at several pics of this sources gear that was posted. A lot of the pics showed the very unique way the product was secured in the pack. Wtf!?! This is ok? A mod gave back karma cause a member was negged for break in the rules?
Here are all the post so you can see for yourself. The first is the one I negged. The 2nd is the ADV's post. He has since taken his down and the first changed his. There are still a lot of these out there showing what they shouldn't.

In my eyes you didn't need to neg the guy, exactly as I said in the thread. I do not believe that what was shown makes any difference to anybody's security or likelihood of getting packs seized, that's not what I consider "packaging" personally. Your view is different, as is some others, which I respect. That's why it was taken down.
Where's the line drawn? What about bags? Tubs? Are these ok in pics? See where I'm going? These are ok but this method (which we won't mention) isn't? I'm not saying I'm right here by the way, I'm saying in my judgement at the time what was shown made zero difference in the same way a bag wouldn't.
AnonIf an item is removed from intended packing and re packaged, covered, ect. That should NOT be posted. It should be removed and the original packaging if available be posted with it. If that's just my "interpretation" of the rule about posting packaging of items. Will a MOD please straighten me out? As far as him not deserving to negged. Wtf dude? He's a cool guy so let him make it. When you give a comment or pic a thumbs down it's not personal.(Although the people covet karma like some Upjohn test. I could see how it would be taken as such.) It's a thumbs down to the post. Not the man. It's a way to let other people know what not to do. Y'all are something serious. I see ADV members flagging stuff a lot and saying "hey bro no karma was taken, just watch it mister" it's KARMA. Do good i.e. Follow rules, regs, act civil. You get thumbs up, hi fives, and lots of yeah bro!!! Do bad you get told you did bad and put on front street about it so someone else won't make the same mistake. Thinks it's a game about this mail shit. The Federal F'ing government is filing law suits against parcel company's. They start hurting their bottom line. Your privacy and all that other shit goes out the window. So if helping protect yourself means you have to give a couple of your imaginary internet Bro's a thumbs down. It'll be ok.
I really would like a MOD to explain the packaging in pic policy. Cause there's a lot of that happening. IMO. I counted 8 pics over a 5 day period that violated MY interpretation of it.
What would the point be in posting packing? We don't need a picture of it. You're going to review that part anyway. What about the risk? What are the risks of posting packing? The risks are catastrophic for us. Right now there are a handful of stealth packing sources who have very very clever ways of getting us our goods. With all the pressure on these couriers to stop allowing illegal pharmaceuticals through their system and all the millions being forked over in fines by the govt, they will start cracking down on this stuff and make it harder and harder. Now, if I'm a worker at a customs sort facility, I'm looking for suspicious, not something that resembles paperwork. You catch my drift? Without saying much more I think you get the fact that any and every way we can protect ourselves ,we have to protect those methods.
I totally understand just didnt really think the pic I took was reavealing anything they could use against us but I should have known better anyway now I know and it wont happen again.
RustyhookerDo not show any packing of any type. Cops love that stuff. Helps then find our packs
So I have a legitimate question about this… I see a lot of talk about this on here. Don't talk about T/A times…nothing specific about packaging, etc. And the party line is always that it's because it can give information to cops etc. Please understand that I'm asking to be educated here…I'm honestly not being a smart ass or trying to start an argument or dispute you.
But I'm just Joe Gymrat. I found this site…logged an email address, got a membership…did some research, read up on some sources and made an order. What would prevent the cops from just doing the same thing and getting any info on packaging, T/A, first hand?
Slightly off topic…but along the same lines…I don't necessarily understand why some things get censored / locked (considered taboo) in one forum…but it's completely open in another. It's only a click away…not like different levels of "clearance" are required on different pages.
You are "exp" level and have been around here a while…and I've seen several of your posts. I figured you would be as good as any to ask.
I agree good questions, I'm just a reg such as yourself but I have been around for a bit, since no one else chimed in and I know your not the only one on eroids wondering the same things so I'm going to take a crack at answering it best I can.
Why we don't openly post details or packaging even though LE could place orders to find out themselves plain and simply is, why would we want to make it easy for them? It would be a pretty daunting task for them to place enough orders to keep on top of things all the time.
Then as far as taboo topics it is for the overall atmosphere of the site and community. Even though they are just a click away there are topics Eroids would prefer to not be known for and I like it that way. Additionally many of the taboo topics could also draw additional attention from LE and nobody should want that.
good questions.
Live and learn bro. Just post pics of the gear. You will get that karma back quick.
