Moobs.
Hi Mates.
Just looking for some education on a topic raised in the gym this morning.
A gentleman who's been working out at my gym for the past few months had previously allowed his body to go to $hit, to say the least. Beer belly from evenings of propping up his local bar. A waist line his XXX size workout pants were struggling to keep covered and a pair of moobs, many Ladies would be proud to own.
I'm calling him a gentleman because he is 100% respectful when he or anyone around him is lifting. He places his hand out to shake when anyone approaches him and he'll sit down in the dinning area, wait until someone has finished their workout and asks them if they could explain a particular exercise or movement he has seen the person doing, because he wants to learn how to change his body without hurting himself.
And I get that. Showing respect = Earned respect.
Anyways, he was asking us guys today about his moobs issue and the best way of reducing/getting rid of them and when he removed his top to make his point, even I thought, "DAMN!!! They're going to need surgery". Luckily for my big mouth, someone else commented about cosmetic surgery to have them reduced, but he admitted he would never be able to afford the cost for such a procedure. Someone even made the comment, "Plenty of press ups and low weight bench pressing with lots of reps", to which he replied, "But will it really work at reducing them if others are saying I need surgery? Even my doctor says I've already done too much damage to the tissue to be able to change it back".
And THAT was when all the doctor bashing hit its peak. "They don't know what they're talking about". "They have no idea what a workout can do for the body". "Weightlifters and bodybuilders and built differently", etc, etc, etc.
The a good question was asked by the gent. "But what about these men who get large nipples and puffy ends on their pecs from taking steroids. I've been told that once they get them, they can never get rid of them without surgery. I do know the differences so I don't know".
Then the conversation obviously changed into the differences between estrogen created moobs and bad diet/life style fat moobs.
A conversation I bowed out of, because I can't/won't comment on a health topic or workout related issue I simply don't know anything about.
So there's my questions. What is the difference in steroid moobs and life style moobs? And, can a steroid created moob issue ONLY be reduced, and/or removed through cosmetic surgery?
I admit I don't know and that is why I'm asking the questions so I have some answers if the topic is ever brought again in the future.

i don't know what moobs are, i'm guessing man boobs -- which could either be from gyno or straight up obesity, which obviouslly dietary changes will help the ladder.
as far as puffy nipples, for me it is pure genetic. unless i'm really lean, like 10% or under my puffy nips will poke through my shirt. such is life.
My buddy had a small case of moobs from running tren with no prolactin support recently. I was advised to have him hit Basskillers letro protocol. With the letro and .5mg of prami he was rid of it in a few weeks. You cant even tell anymore. But in the gentlemans case you are presenting it could be way to late for letro to even work. Its worth a shot though before trying surgery.
Thank you, Mate.
THAT is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. Gives me the guide lines I need to study up on.
VERY much appreciated +1
theres a difference mate, depends if we are talking big saggy fat moobs, or are we talking puffy nipples with lumps underneath?
The gentleman weighed about 320lbs+ so we're talking BIG saggy moobs, Mate.
I'm NOT making fun of him, but they were bad to look at. And he admitted that they were one of the reasons why he'd decided to work out, to make a change to his all round appearance and self-esteem.
the problem will be excess skin! letro or any other type of stuff isn't going to work for that.
Lifestyle is fat, the other is straight up breast tissue caused by hormone imbalances. If it's not too far out of hand, many have had success reversing gyno with letro.
Thank you, Mate.
Something for me to look further into. Much appreciated
