Bro, ive been having this same problem with oils now a days, i NEVER used to get pip. Recently it was sooooooo bad i couldnt even walk!!!! I vouldnt work out or nothing, SO DEPRESSING!! BUT!!!!!!!! Theres a cure, well for me atleast.. Ive bought sterile grape seed oil, and pull out 1cc test and 1cc GSO, and NO PAIN WHAT SO EVER!!!!!! Please try it, i hope it works for you as well, you will thank me!
Yea I know about the grape seed oil man. But this is not from a pip. This redness is from me being allergic to the test.
I pin myself regularly and have experienced this many times. Inflammation, redness that spreads, tightness, and warm to the touch. Of all the times this has happened to me only once did I get an infection. I had all the same symptoms as stated above to include fever and the injection site was raised and hard. Picture an irritated mosquito bite the size of a grapefruit. I waited three days before i went to ER and sure enough cellulitis beginning to form an abscess. They loaded me up with clendamycin and sent me on my way. Took two 1/2 weeks to clear. In your case it could be bad pinning technique as was mentioned or you might be allergic to something in the solvent or maybe you went sub q instead of im. Whatever the case may be peace of mind is worth its weight in gold. If you are that worried go to the ER and get seen. I didnt tell them a thing when i went and was treated and on my way in less than two hours. Doesnt look anywhere near as bad as what i ahd. Check my pics and compare if you like.
looks sub q
It's hard to determine when it's not compared to your other arm. However, if the pain is gradually worse and you could barely move that arm, most likely it's an infection. Warm to the touch, red and swollen are some of the signs. Like Nitti said benadryl, if it's an allergic reaction. Use anti inflammatory pills for the pain and see your doc asap. Good luck, once they give you some bactrum or iv antibiotics, it should go away rather quickly. Check Ur temp and Bp brother.
Hey bro thanks for your input. I have very little pain when I move my arm. The red area is covering half of my bicep now when I woke up this morning. I can still workout so the pain is nothing to me. I gonna go get me some Benadryl.
I'm gonna go with Cellulitous!!!
Just a guess!!!
No Dr over here, just a guess!!!
Take a pen and draw a circle around the redness, and watch it to see if it gets bigger...
Watch very close man...
Take a full dose of Benadryl. If it goes away ,you're allergic to a solvent in it. If it doesn't, get ready to find some antibiotics. Augmentin is a broad range amoxicillin and used often for abscesses. If Benadryl doesn't work however ,it doesn't mean it is automatically an abscess. But watch it close. Could be inflammation from poor pinning practice or the pin moving around poking you internally.
JHKeflex should clean it right up if Benadryl does not work. Most likely a sterile abscess if proper sterile protocol was followed.
Thanks for help nitti. The red area looks like it got bigger and moved toward the bicep area. But no where near my tricep. I can move it easily with very little pain. I am gonna pick me up a Benadryl like you said. Thank you.
I had similar problem. Redness and heat lasted a week or so. No pain or sensitivity though. How long have you been on?
I see nothing? Can you give symptoms. Looks like you just pinned a little too far one way or the other. Nick a nerve or something.
Well if you press on the red spot it hurts and the area is kinda hot. But I do not have a fever.
