Androgel Half-life?
ad
Does anybody know the half-life for androgel? I have read through the pamphlet in the box and tried searching the net, but I can't find a solid answer. All I seem to find is "the half life of testosterone is 10-100 minutes" but I don't think this is taking into consideration the absorption rate of the gel.

interesting post.. so Androgel doesn't affect HPTA axis? no PCT required?
I am on Dr. prescribed trt so I am no longer doing any PCT. Androgel will shut you down just like any other AAS would.
yea ok thats what i thought. What threw me off is below - saying levels go back to pre androgel doses 48hrs after stopping.
I'm on the same TRT but haven't used the gel since I got married. Much easier to lather up when your single morning and evening. But heck if I bounce back to my 200-300's 48's from stopping I might reconsider. 4 weeks of PCT is a bitch.... can't make babies on TRT -
Baseline levels doesn't necessarily mean back to normal range........ it simply means that the subjects returned to the levels they had before initiating therapy.
That would depend on the health of your testes and whether you are primary or secondary......... but in certain cases it is definitely possible.
mine don't really shrink, but pretty certain I got no sperm after a month or 2 of test...
Half-life is about 24 hours and the peak plasma 16 hours after one application and 4 to 8 hours for subsequent applications. Within 48 hours of discontinuing treatment levels return to baseline.
I dug this up for you.

Thanks
You are welcome.
Just what it says right under that part, section 12:3-excretion:
"When...treatment is discontinued....serum levels remain in the normal range for 24-48 hrs.......return to pre-treatment (levels) by the 5th day.
Thanks
