Carb intake

I seem to be reading alot of different ways on how best to handle carbs. What do you guys think is best as far as cycling with high /low days or to just stop all carb intake after 2pm. Any help and experiences you guys have had with this are greatly appreciated as i try to find the best way to dial in this diet.

Can I add a extra meal with no carbs in to the end of my day or increase calories and protein in my last 2 meals? I'm feeling a little hungry so i have been shorting the time between some of my later meals to two hours instead of 3 , am I defeating the purpose of trying to shred by doing this or am I ok since I am on cycle and cutting all my carbs for the day after my 1 pm meal? Keep in mind I am also running extra cardio at end of day everyday for 30-45 min in addition to my lifting and cardio I do in morn

like it says on the thread bro.. increase protein to balance out the cal deficit.. ONLY protein after the cut-off time..... dont starve yourself in the later hours just eat more pro

How's your good fats? Make sure you are getting adequate good fat. This will keep you full longer and help with satiety.

Vike , i know gorillafits diet had some things like broccoli in it after 2pm. the diet you and suzy run, do you guys eat things like that even though they have some carbs or is it just straight no carbs , no matter what, i dont mean to sound like im beating a dead horse, but i am just making sure i know all my options here since this is day one of my diet change with no carbs after 1pm for me

Brother Gfit got down good with the system and his own tweaks with it....... when we ( suze and myself) run it carbs end at 2pm thats why we get properly stage ripped.... if you just want to take it just before the point of extreme do it with Gfits addition of cruciferous veggies.. but dont go over the top with added carbs .

see thing when we eat raw veg it takes so much energy for the body to break it by the time it hits the bloodstream it is virtually worthless as added calories go.

Energy expenditure equals or is mostly higher than the nutritional values eating any raw veg gives.

I personally do no carbs after 3, on non workout days and no carbs after 5 on workout days. I get off at 7pm from work and dont get to the gym until 9pm. That leaves me with 4 hours of carbs in my system, before the gym. Thats good enough for me, hope this helps.

Yes it is extremely effective at shredding body fat. But not sustainable for long periods of time. I'm a food guy.

I'm not pro or a competitor, but Vikings carb manipulation is the ticket! I started cutting 5 weeks ago and I am already seeing progress. I posted a pic recently if you want to see. It's not great but without the knowledge I got from Vikes info I bet id still be trying to figure out how to lose a fuckin pound.. Lol..

one more question vike....after 2pm, things like my protein shake have 6 grams carbs in it, or the sauce i use on my chicken has 5 grams carbs, is that ok bec its so low or NO carb s at all! thank you for all the help!

Question are you upping your cal intake while dropping carbs? I havent quite figured out that yet. I figure by dropping carbs early between 2-5pm, you would need to up calories to balance this out to keep and maintain gains? Is this true?

For instance my protien shake is 150 cals, so I buy a higher cal protien shake to ensure I reach my 3000-4000 cals?

Yes!!!! along with the high dose of vitamin C was unbelievable leanest I have ever got my legs looked like a road map! Doing that protocol that you and Suzy put together!

one question, when suze says her carb loading is working out nice, is she taking in more then the 50grams on certain days? i have been working really hard with training and diet the last 2 months , and i am finally for the first time getting the whole diet thing right little by little so i want to make sure i understand it all, because this time i want to get further then i ever have before

Carb loading is only for 3/4 days pre-comp bro, you should not be going near carb loading at all.... when we carb load we eat a baked potato on the hour for every single hour in the day to load the muscles up from inside without water going subQ.......... thats not part of the diet bro, you just stick to how that thread is written and thats all ok.

Still works for me. No carbs, only protein and green veg after 1/2pm and my bf drops rapidly.
