+ 1 FINALLY! Pre-Cycle Blood Work - the long story of how I got here.

ad

So, I posted my post PCT blood work about 3 months ago. MegaT883 noted my mild neutropenia. I later brought this up with my doctor. This lead to several more blood tests that showed fluctuating neutrophil counts between 1500-600 cells/microliter. I came off all supplements, and cut back on my lifting but nothing helped.

I was scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy. Propofol is awesome by the way, apparently I asked for some to go. After the procedure, the doctor came in the room rubbing his hand is if it was sore and said I have really hard bones. Squats? Anyway, I waited nearly two weeks to find out if it was serious (cancer) or not. It was a stressful two weeks. Props to my wife for the support. The results came back completely normal. My hematologist suggested an ultrasound to see if my spleen was enlarged and possibly trapping all of my neutrophils.

Funny sidebar, my diet has resulted in a lot of gas. During my ultrasound, the ultrasounographer couldn't get a good shot of part of one of my organs due to "a lot of intestinal gas". I should have let it out but the room was so small it may have been dangerous.

Anyway, the following Monday I went back in to get results from my hematologist. Again, normal. The only thing of note was a small (1cm x 1cm x 1.3cm) spot, most likely a hemangioma, on my liver. The doctor was not concerned with it as it may very well be something I was born with. Doc chalked it up to a possible autoimmune issue. Turns out, my father's side, there exists a gene mutation called HLA-B27 that can cause autoimmune issues. Nothing has manifested in my siblings yet, however, my cousins, aunt (blood), and grandmother and father all have issues, iritis, GI, and heart inflammation.

After reading up on Hemangiomas, it appears they may be estrogen sensitive. As steroid use typically results in elevated estrogen levels, it's raised my concern. Obviously I do not want this to grow and become a problem. Also, in the back of my mind is the thought that my elevated estrogen levels during my first cycle may have caused this. I will never know the answer, but it's causing some apprehension concerning my next cycle. All I can think of is, either stay away from steroids all together, or start my AI week 1 and have bloods done every 3 or so weeks to monitor estrogen. Any words of advice?

Finally, I just had blood test ran this week. Everything appears normal with the exception of my BUN and BUN/Creatinine ratio. I've cut back heavily on alcohol. I haven't had a drink for 6 days prior to the test. I don't know if this has any bearing on this test. I also consume about 250-300g protein per day. I tested in the morning after only a breakfast shake that was high in protein. I very well may have been dehydrated as worked out the night before and consumed no water for approximately 10-12 hours leading up to the test.

So, I'm using this a my baseline for recovery following this next cycle. I plan on starting Monday morning. 12 weeks test e with a prop kicker and taper and a standard colmid/nolva PCT.

I have almost exactly the same BUN and BUN/Creatine ratio as you did. And I do not drink at all and have a very clean diet. Most likely was food in the mourning. If you look up BUN on the NIH website you will read that high amounts of protein in the gastrointestinal track will elevate that number. oh yea when I go on a bulk diet (peanut butter does it) I fart a lot too at the beginning until my body catches up, I think its funny though no one else does lol.

I wish I could help with the liver problems but I don't know if anyone not a doctor and more importantly a specialist would be qualified to give you SAFE advise on that.

Glad you went to the Dr. So you have a benign tumor of the liver and now you know. You may want to start taking Liv 52 3 times a day.
