Ok guys, let us explain something. We know you guys run in your cliques, and that in and of itself is fine but when we scan karma (and we do!) and see a pattern of individuals bumping karma for each other on a higher percentage than random bumps its called "BRO BUMPING". We don't care if its unintentional, we don't care if there was no malice, we don't care if ALL the info was solid. What we do care about is setting precedent and when a group of individuals come up 50pts within a wk or so of each other by "BRO BUMPING" it is NOT ACCEPTABLE! PERIOD!

Just threw in my .02. You were the one that felt compelled to reply to my benign comment. There was no attack on you, I simply made a generalized statement. If I had called you out and hurled insults your way, then yes you would have justification to reply. When a comment is made in a civil manner about moving on and you reply to it, it proves my point that you're dwelling on it. Have the last word if you must, but this is where I walk away with my dignity intact. Maybe you you should attempt that approach.

I'm not sure I'd take it so personal. It looks like there's agenda to correct perceived issues on this board and they've started to do some work on it by setting some examples so everyone notices. Just lay low, focus on your training and family, grab your popcorn and see what else going to happen.

Thank you GOW. I respect a choice you've made re: your pooch btw. Naturally, I don't agree with all of that was done, but can see there's an effort to get things done in quickest, most efficient way. Consideration of fairness isn't relevant or a priority as it would complicate and make work more difficult. Having said that, let's have some perspective. Participation on this site is an optional activity for most of its members. There's a world outside where people have real issues and challenges; e.g. putting food on the table, providing shelter, maintaining relationships, dealing with personal and family issues, etc. Changing diapers and looking into a baby's eyes ought to set one straight about what's really important.

I guess I am still trying to figure out why the obsession with karma. Once you have enough to vote and review that is really what matters as far as making sure the sources are held accountable. I get people being offered promos if they have extra karma but I have never seen a promo that enticing yet that warrants such an obsession.
If it is an ego thing to convince new people here that you know your shit well that is going to come out real quick in the wash when those who know their shit read what you write. I think the most satisfying part of receiving karma is by your peers who are genuinely impressed by your contributions. Because then you know you are on the right track with what is the goal of the site.
It is like when a guy tells you his rank in bjj. Then you roll with him you find out real quick whether he is above or below the rank he claims. I believe that time and contributions will show the real deal.
The mods being on top of this is very good because for one new members don't get confused by rank that is not deserved. As we know many posers amassed high karma and then were found out to be frauds. So with this karma policing it makes us all more aware of how we use it.
