+ 1 Eat to grow

ad

I have always said unless you eat big you wont get big!! I see and hear so many younger guys talking about bunk gear or they only gained 10 pounds off there last cycle or MY FAVORITE the guy in the gym you see day in day out for years that always stays the same, and he makes the excuse must be genetics. now genetics does play a roll but unless you eat the right foods and your diet is on point then why spend the money on gear and a gym membership??? EAT EAT EAT when you think your full EAT again lean protein veggies complex carbs, you can not grow while only consuming 2000 -2500 calories a day diet is 75% of the equation in my experience. look at it this way if you don't water your grass it will die same principle here...

Ive taken all of your advice and I have increased my weight by 30 pounds in a week. I basically was starving myself of carbs then I increased them by 700%. Took a couple of days to get my legs under me but now Im in control of myself again.

Most people that get into the sport are offset a bit by the cost, gear, supplements , clothing...yup, I so many with new clothing for the gym..they just dont spend the money on food. Check out this video on how to eat cheap, pretty funny I thought, I liked it, you can eat cheap and clean if you want.

I agree completely. Growing up I was a fat kid. Then in early teens I started to eat nothing but protein and lifting young. I got lean and cut but nothing of any size. Took my neighbor to convince me to eating whoppers daily (3-4) at a sitting, pasta all the time. Got my weight up considerably. Started gear at a young age and kept lean. Always afraid of carbs. Get my size up a bit and maintain it. Now years later I bulk properly. Going from 5 meals a day to 7 now as I think I maxed out my calorie intake on 5. Solid food, not alot of shakes. Still can eat carbs and stay lean. But I wish I would have know back then what I do now. No matter how much gear you take if you dont eat, you dont grow. You may get harder, more vascular but definitely wont grow.

I don't known what problem people have. Even if they are very lazy. They can do it like this:

100gr whey + 2slices bread with 70gr allnatural peanut butter and an apple.
4* a day and you are done. (Just an example to show how easy it is to get the macros )

I mean wtf I always have problems not going too far over 4k cals cauz my favorite meal is chicken with potatoes and spinach.can eat tons of it (No joke :D)

I couldn't agree more and have seen both sides of this fence. I didn't begin to see the scale change until I went up to 3000-4000 calories per day! Nice post!

I'm about to bulk, just finished cutting down to 185lbs, 10%bf. Do you have any guidelines to proper, clean bulking. Percentage of calories from protein, carb, and fat? Or by how much to increase calories to max. muscle and minimize fat? Still learning proper nutrition and bulking.

Eating is critical, I agree GYMJUNKIE.
