The taliban arnt bad fighters, the Iraqi's were kinda shitty. The foreign fighters that came in fromaround the Muslim world those were the ones that were really trained and would go toe to toe with you. In Afghanistan occasionally the battle will last hours going and losing ground both ways. Not the stuff you see on YouTube where its a few shots and its over with. There was a lot of pop shots and take off. But when they were ready they would launch a minor offensive and hold there ground and hold you down with plenty of rpk fire. Mountain warfare is so shitty. They've been fighting for decades constantly. We still slaughter them, but they know military tactics and do inflict a good bit of causalities on us
