I'm a lot better now. The first time I got on tren was a different story. One day I pulled into a gas station. All the pumps were occupied. I started freaking out. I was yelling and hitting my steering wheel. People started staring at me. I then came to my senses and took off. I was like whoa that was a major cause of roid rage. It is funny now.

before i squat i say this to my self from will smith
“Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice.

I agree and disagree with that statement. Fear is a choice in some situations. But you won't find one person that has been infantry and been deployed and seen combat and wasn't scared shitless at some point. I've seen guys go into convulsions when bullets, motars and rpgs start exploding. Gotta carry them. I've seen guys break down that were atheists and pray to everything religious they could think off during battle. Seen people passout, people will shit and throw up on themselves. I've even seen guys give up on life they are so tired of combat ied goes off, motars go off and bullets flying and they don't even take cover they want to get hit to just make it end. You put anyone in combat you'll learn what real fear is

I think the purpose of the quote (the only decent part in After Earth in my opinion...) is to help us realize that fear is an emotion with very little utility. Do people experience fear? Of course! You gave excellent examples of this. But the point is that fear doesn't help us in those situations, it only hinders us.

Fear isn't real in that it is an emotional reaction to a perceived future outcome. If I think something might happen in the future that I deem bad, then I will be afraid. For a mundane example: If I think that when I inject myself I will get an infection, or puncture a vein and bleed out, or whatever THEN I will fear needles. The danger IS real, but the fear is only in the mind. If we can overcome our fear, then we can calmly, and accurately, address any situation.

Well, at least that is my take.... = )

I hear ya man, your ole man has some good advice. Fear spreads and nothing is more dangerous than a scared man. If your nco or officer can't keep his composure the hopeless oh fuck were not gonna make it through this feeling spreads to everyone like a sickness. Everyone looks up to the leaders. And someone usually steps up if the man isn't doing his job. I know all about the 504 im just right outside slidell and can be in new Orleans in under 45 mins. I drive over to get lottery tickets every two weeks. Me and my boss go in on them. We each throw up 10 dollars. Someone has to win it and does. Ill have a whole room stacked full of custom brewed gear. I won't be greedy if i ever win 200 million ill pay a source on here to run a badass free gear promo for all my people on here on my dime.

Did this in high school. Be careful though - consuming simple sugars too often can lead to insulin insensitivity. Not a good thing for bodybuilding.
