So I recieved a letter by u.s customs home land security. It says that I can either voluntarily forfeit the items or request commence seziure proceedings. Will I be in trouble with law enforcement over this?? Or will they just let me forfeit it and that's it? Anyone receive a customs seizure letter before?

Just ignore it, that's all you can do.
I have been siezed 3 or 4 times over the years and never been hassled by Law Enforcement. One time I was siezed twice in a row for stuff from the same supplier from Spain. If they want to make an example out of you, there is not much you can do but it is pretty rare for them to bother unless you are distributing AAS.
No worries homie, just throw the letter in your shredder and don't use that address for a while and just order domestically.

i receive a lot of international packages from sketchy ass countries, i'm surprised none of my stuff has been seized yet
If they wanted you THAT bad, they would have had an agent dress up in a mailman's outfit, got you to sign for the package so they have your signature on paper and busted you at your front door, Mate.
The seizure letter is a simple warning that they've found and kept your products.
They've put the ball in your court as to what you want to do about it, as they say.
Let the gear go. Put it down to experience. Scan the letter and contact your source with a new mailing address. SOME sources will re-ship you your products when you contact them about this type of situation.

I know my usual mailman by sight AND by time of day that he delivers too. But I don't know when he takes a holiday and/or when he's off sick for a few days etc.
When I have a package expected, I admittedly get VERY paranoid about who's delivering my mail. Especially if an international parcel is expected.

ClassyChassisJust ignore them. Some sources will reship to a different addy if you scan the letter to them. Thousands of people have received letters. You won't get in trouble. They can't prove you ordered it. You just donated to the cause of HS getting their swole on, that's all.
