injection welt

ad

My timing couldn't be worse. I have final EBC pics due in two days and I can barely flex my right quad. I was injecting a pre-workout called Shock Therapy using a 27g x 1.25. As I injected, everything seemed fine: I aspirated - no blood, no pain, then as I pushed on the plunger - WOW - HOLY FUCKING SHIT! The pain was unbelievable. I actually waited for as long as I could bear - about 4 seconds - to see if the pain would subside. It didn't, so I pulled out. Sweating like a whore in church, I just sat there for a minute taking deep breaths mumbling, "what the fuck" and "holy shit". Not to be deterred, I changed needles, and proceeded to inject my left quad with the remaining juice. I didn't really get any into my right quad since the pain started immediately after I began to push the plunger. Man was I nervous about the left quad, but it went in with no problems. And I actually did a leg workout after. I did have to cut it short though - the pain was difficult to work through and I noticed a large red welt about the size of my closed hand radiating out from the injection site. I want to be clear that using Shock Therapy had absolutely nothing to do with this pain. I've been injecting Shock Therapy with good results for two weeks. It was probably that I hit a nerve. I'm just guessing here, but it's still sore as hell and red. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like u injected right Into nerves and separated them. That's the pain WHILE your injecting. Something like that. Ibuprofen bro

That's what I thought because as soon as I pushed on the plunger the pain started. The fact that the needle is 1.25", made me think it wasn't a vein. Veins don't run through the muscles (quads) do they? Only nerves correct?

Thanks bro. I'm not backing out now. The pics will show a nice 'war wound'. It's actually turning purple now and it's a little numb to the touch.

Thanks bro.

That's true. So I wonder why I didn't get any blood when I aspirated. Maybe I pushed a little further in after aspirating?

Because you hit it on the way in before getting to the muscle, probably a surface vein. Their are a lot of veins in the Quad lol.
