New way to view Reviews
ad
1st idea
.
Is it possible to have a filter based on how many words in a review. it seems that most reviews that are bad have very little words, while good review have paragraphs of details.. or maybe a way to see reviews (past on monthly) that stand out more
2nd idea
It seems that most bad reviews are by new members aka low karma member.. I was wondering if we can some how have a preference or a filter option in the reviews where u can choose to see the review based on karma ranking, or maybe divide the reviews so that i can see reviews by members from 50 and above..
i'm not suggesting that we dont take lower karma reviews into consideration, just a way to filter.
just an idea
thanks

Mike1982I'm absolutely with you XV and also just to add to your idea I think there should be more guidelines for writing reviews. I know there are the rules before posting a review that comes up but more detailed parameters to leaving reviews. Maybe even sub categories to the categories and like what was mentioned before, a minimum amount of words. No one word or even one sentence responses EXCEPT for communication SOMETIMES. This is just another idea and I don't mean to stray from your original post because i think its an idea worth putting thought into and I like it. I think a lot of us are tired of seeing "good to go" and "legit"...and especially reviews of people saying their EQ is good and saying they've been running it for two weeks. Really? U think an undecylenate ester is good after two weeks? And you're right when you say its not a bias against low karma brothers but a lot of them are just excited they got something in the mail and have put almost zero thought into the details of what they are running. I like your idea of maybe filtering a review by member level, etc. We both know it won't be easy for the site admins to change these things because it Will require programming changes and other things but I think the fact that you started this topic will get the ball rolling. It's all a part of the evolution of this brotherhood here.
@CJ I like the idea of a review score instead of applying point to your karma. Maybe even both. Let it still add to the karma but also have a review level or rating.
@scooby I feel you about the low karma reviews being important. It does help to POSSIBLY see selective scammers. I've seen sources where members with karma enough to vote and rate always get their packs but those with not enough are the ones that don't receive their shit.
SIDE NOTE: I'm not going to go and accuse any source of anything but if you search source reviews for a little while its funny how some source reviews ALWAYS have an upvote for absolutely no reason. One sentence on every review category yet every reviewer on your page has an update? Sketchy? A little bit! I'm not accusing sources of doing this but its just seems very suspicious that I see extremely detailed reviews on some source pages that have no upvotes at all but your source review page has an upvote on damn near if not EVERY review that it obviously subpar at best. Just sets my spider senses off a little that's all!
How about any karma points given on a members review do not go to that members karma points but to their review rating. This could be added as a separate score under their avatar.
That's a good idea
This could help weed out those who get 20 points for posting pics of their half naked wife. Also helping me identify if the member that's giving me advice actually knows what there talking about.
Or to add to that, it would be nice to be able to view where any members karma points were given. (ie. forum post, comments, reviews, pics,)
I feel the lower karma reviews are very important. It seems sometimes that a source will get their fanboy base. Then when a lower karma member complains of not receiving their gear, the fanboys attack to discredit the claims. Some bad sources target the lower karma members first before they fuck everybody. And I don't think it would be a good idea to filter by the amount of words. The reviews where someone states they haven't received their gear are usually short.
Like I said "optional filter" .. For one I don't know the lower karma ppl , they could be some guy on their first cycle and they can gain 20lbs on w/e.
Speaking as a low karma member, I agree with you. At times, I am afraid to disagree in eroids because of my fear of getting flamed. New or not, valid opinions and reviews are helpful and add validity to eroids. Thanks.
it is the policy of eroids that you cannot be downvoted for a difference of opinion, if that happens contact a MOD
Will do. Thanks for the info.
AnonVery ambitious. For the good of the community, I guess. Why not, right?
