How do you get rid of the acne?
ad
I'm having REALLY BAD chest and back acne. I don't want to take accutane or doxycyline or Solodyn because they are harsh on the liver, does anybody have any suggestions? I've started using an antibacterial wash, but it seems to have dried out my skin and made the acne much worse.
What remedies besides oral medications do you use?

Worked wonders for me. I have ZERO spots at all :-) Might be loads of other reasons too, as last time, when I was a younger man, I got loads of zits, now, NOTHING. I use this soap, yes, but not because I need to, more preventative I suppose.
My acne seems to come off cycle more then on cycle. I wonder what the reasoning for this is?
Could be elevated estro levels
its so annoying mine isnt bad doing normal things but if i start working out or sweating my shoulders and back go from looking normal to all small red spots, idk if thats from the pump from the workout and blood goes into my arms or something... im thinking about doing a cycle of accutane
I use a creamy wash called panoxyl and use a spot treatment from equate. This is what has worked best for me and I get pretty bad acne. You can get them both a wal-mart. If you can't find the wash ask the pharmacy sometimes they keep it behind the counter but it is OTC .
I had my wife put on apple cider vinegar with cotton balls. It stunk like shit, but it worked for me and it helped with itching.
Change your bed linens more than usual
I'm moving this post to General discussion as it doesn't belong In the steroid cycles section.
UV light (the sun or tanning bed) and Salt water (preferably the ocean but Epsom salt baths will suffice)! I have tried every medication ,antibiotic, cream, gels and all kinds of other topical prescriptions. Chemical peels like Retin A. None of them solve the problem. The way I "get rid of it" is to do my best to PREVENT it by keeping my test serum levels as stable as possible, control estrogen and keep it IN RANGE for your age/sex. Estrogen (as well as prolactin) are the number 1 causes of these skin side effects while using AAS! The steroids get the bad rap but its the byproduct that's causing it.
went to the endo today, we had a conversation, she said that elevation of testostrone levels cause acne not the estrogen. she said that some ppl (more women then guys however) were prescribed estrogen in order to get rid of their acne problems.. interesting right?
those are the liberal doctors from obama who are feminine and want to make all men feminine, dont take estrogen
Everything I've ever read or been taught is the other way around. And frankly, I have no real issues when I'm completely balanced. My most recent bloods were damn near perfect. I had almost no side effects on that run. I kind of agree with J223 for the most part. It's about maintaining a healthy balance. Finding your own personal sweet spots and maintaining them. By sweet spots I don't mean just doses, I mean doses in contrast to your AI dose and frequency and your compound choices (along with doses). I guarantee that your sweet spots are different than mine when it comes to a basics. But your endo should know more about this than me. In my experience , sadly the doctors knew far less than I expected. And I hear that being echoed all the time. Most of us can school some of the Endos out their practicing medicine. So that comment your endo made is the opposite of all I know to be true. Not only what I've heard or read, but what I've experienced.
I think it's more the imbalance.
I always have acne off cycle. But on cycle my acne disappears completely
AnonMake sure to keep it moisturized especially after the soap dries it out.
I thought you were crazy when you told me up put moisturizing lotion on my already oily skin. I did what you said and it made an incredible difference in just a couple days. My skin was nowhere near as oily as it had been. So your theory that the skin produces extra oils to compensate for you drying it out was dead on balls accurate. All those soaps that dry us out feel better temporarily But soon after your shower, the oil is back.
Dawn dish soap 3 times a day helped my acne
This really gets rid of the oil but it doesn't solve the problem. Good info none the less. I do that at work. I keep dish detergent around for my face and hands.
I get it on chest mostly with tren. I use clean and clear acne cleanser daily formula (in purple tube). In morning and at night. I guarantee try that 3 days it will be gone. That stuff is the best I found.
Things that help but dont get rid (for me)
Sun / Sunbeds
T-Gel Shampoo (as a body wash)
Swimming Pool or Sea (pool marginally better for me, possibly due to drying action of chlorinated water)
Drinking tonnes of water
This is specific to me but whenever i see someone with bad acne i always have to fight the urge to go speak with them
but my main protogonist (by far) for acne is dairy products, milk being the harshest, then on a sliding scale depending on how processed it is.
Basically I cut out dairy and my acne cleared up completly in less than a month, this is after being under a consultant dermatologists for years, trying all the lotions, creams and medications (up to and including Roaccutane)
I've always gotten it bad with dairy too, and that is why I have not consumed dairy except whey protein for years.
Vewihydrogen peroxide
Sun beds, showers and alcohol swabs.
what compounds and ancillaries are you running?
testosterone enanthate 100mg a week
i'm not too keen on cycles for the female body, but i do know that 100/mg a week will put your levels well above normal. as a result, the body will begin converting that excess into DHT and estrogens.
the acne could be estrogen related. a small dose of an AI like aromasin could help to restore the balance and alleviate the symptoms. have you considered having your levels checked with a blood test?
Not too sure that would do any help getting a blood test because females naturally can have estrogen well above 100 lol
I do believe a small dose of adex/aromasin might help though
During menstration, yes. But, outside of their cycles, there is a normal range for women. 10-40 ng/dl.

Well a couple of weeks ago there was a guy who claimed that his dog could lick his acne away.

That was the thread but looks like he deleted it. Maybe he wants to patent it and doesn't want the other people to know, So be quick to get a dog before they are all gone.
Yeah. Pretty much amazing. Or so...
I don't know what you are running, but breakouts in estrogen cause this effect. So maybe an AI would help.
