+ 5 EROIDS MEMBERS BEGGING FOR FREE GEAR

MEMBERS
Ok boys and girls looks like we got a problem on our hands. As of late we have been getting numerous complaints from sources saying there are a few of you which think your karma gives you the right to ask for free gear in exchange for reviews or you come up with some sad sob story in a sad shameless attempt at snatching some free gear. Listen if you cant afford to buy your own gear how in the hell do you expect to consume the amount of food needed to grow, I don't care how broke you are or if you are trying to become the next mr 0, begging for gear is tacky and pathetic. From here on out any more complaints we get, karma will get removed completely or the ban hammer will be used, depending on what kind of a mood im in. I have already spoken to a few of you via pm, for those whom i have yet to reach consider this your one and only warning. As much as i am tempted to put you on blast ill hold back this time but you know who you are.
SOURCES
This problem also corresponds to some of you. From here on out no more offering members a vial of prop or what have you in exchange for reviews. Anything along these lines will only be allowed threw promos, not your si and not via pm's. This game of ill send you a bottle of prop for a review is threatening the credibility of our rankings system.

RustyhookerWell said!
I'm moving this to General Discussion for now. It needs to be understood!
I see this all the time. I call them quasi reps. They can be found on any source page and they are always obvious. It's very annoying to hear from these reps on a daily basis on how great the source is. Of course they are on there daily saying this because they got free shit. IMO they should be banned cause like pro says they go against everything this site should be about which is real peoples real reviews. Not some guy holding up a "will suck dick for tren" sign then blabbing all day about how great the source is since he got free gear.
We call them........

i think asking for sponsorships in the EBC is basically begging for free gear. if a src wants to sponsor someone it should be up to them to approach someone they feel is worthy of sponsorship.
While I agree with you on this, it was discussed amongst the administration just before the last EBC and we allowed it. But there are just too many ppl who get the "sponsored" gear and bail out on the competition. As if it were calculated and they never had any intentions on competing. They just wanted free gear. In the past I might have said "ok something happened to them, it's life, that sucks" and move on. Now, I am cynical. I see too much underhanded shit and hidden agendas. It's up to the source to sponsor who they want and they have every right to say no to any individual or not participate at all. I've seen ppl threaten sources who don't sponsor them. That's just pathetic.
Just because we allowed it doesn't mean everyone can just jump in and go beg for gear. I fact, NOBODY do it from this point on until further notified. I'm going to discuss it with the mods and the boss.
angusMy opinion on this whole matter is from a sources perspective. They are put between a rock and a hard spot but at the end of the day they get absolutely nothing out of sponsoring someone. Think about that (as I am sure the MODs have but this is at everyone else)
What motivation does a source have to give away a pile of gear?
I repped one source when I jumped in my first EBC and I paid for every dollar of my gear. My eyes were really opened at that point because I got to thinking if they had sponsored me what would have been different? Absolutely nothing that I could tell. They would have been forced with telling a good customer that they wouldn't sponsor them and risk them going somewhere else or putting up a bunch of gear and not getting anything that they normally wouldn't get. Point is, if you are going to let them have a horse in the race make it worth their while. Give them something in return that they can say "hey that's a good deal". Is it a banner? is it a sponsorship forum that people and donors are listed in? Is it a some "10" votes? Maybe it's something as simple as overlaying their shop name across the top of the contestant's pics so that people see that name every time they look? Just some random thoughts here but I truly think we need to create a reason for the sponsors to jump in and a penalty system for a contestant not finishing if they receive the support.
Start a post and brain storm

Ohh and I think they stand to gain a reputation as either a "Good dude" or of a "Push over" who can be bullied into giving away shit. That's my opinion. If someone doesn't have money to buy gear they just don't run it then. I think the sponsorship thing is eehhhh! The fact that they contribute to the pot is more than awesome! But sponsoring individuals? I guess sometimes it can be a good thing for the source tho. Think about it. A guy enters the EBC. He has _____.com sponsoring him. In 10 weeks he makes an amazing transformation. A lot of people will attribute those gains to superior gear. That's not always the case but it's the nature of the way we think.
angusYou're absolutely right, personifying good gear can be lucrative.

Definitely seen some of that going on. Of you do need a sponsor it would make more sense to ask via pm. Although I sure wouldn't hold my breath on something like that happening.
WTF! You have to pay for it? It's all good.. I got Santa and the Tooth Fairy on speed dial for my free gear..
To bad BigD doesn't take my IOUs...
Agreed I'm still new but begging for free stuff, would you stand on a corner with a sign asking for free gear, money, ext. and I'm not trying to bash anyone but maybe if you bought from them reg. they wouldn't mind one every now and again and you wouldn't have to beg just be a good customer, just my thoughts on it...
Never been given anything for free.
Agreed totally, if you have to beg for free gear, you definitely cannot afford to keep up with your nutrition. Therefore in the long run, you'll be bad mouthing the quality of anyone's gear! I wouldn't want that kind of business bc those kind of people will be the same people that finish their half ass cycle that consisted of; a half ass workout schedule, piss poor diet, and improper gear use, and most likely complain how their gear was bunk or underdosed.
Amen!!!

elecshortsOn the other hand not letting members with low points review makes it so that we are the ones who get screwed on orders...just sayin'.
you're banned but I want people to read this...people that are new with no karma can't review bc if they could a source could make a bunch of different accounts and make reviews, suck people in, and take their money. IF YOU CAN'T CONTRIBUTE ENOUGH TO THE COMMUNITY TO GAIN 7 KARMA POINTS THEN YOU SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO REVIEW BC YOUR REVIEW IS MOST LIKELY NOT CREDIBLE
this is true but i can see the reason why they dont any one pointer could slam competition and that would be wrong and ultimately result in more new people getting screwed due to bad information ...
There has to be a compromise. How can the community grow new members if some with low karma end up getting shafted on orders. Maybe a time limit, limited reviews on new accounts (i.e. two / year).
I didn't find that to be true when I was starting out
It is simply stunning that this even needs to be addressed! Would anyone walk into a store and ask for free stuff? This is a cash based society and will continue to be so. Anyone who thinks differently should be "blasted". I suppose you can never underestimate the stupidity of others.
no never humans are pretty darned stupid at times . ..
Great post bb. I think you should put this on a sticky and let this be a place where sources can post the beggar emails. That would be excellent entertainment.
If you cant afford to buy gear then i think people should focus more on other things like getting a second job, BBing is a very expensive sport,, supplements, food, gym membership ... etc save up until you can get the goodies.. until then train, eat and sleep
This is great. I will miss the gear but I agree getting free gear for a review is bad for the site. Although I see no difference in going though pm doing it and in a free promo. except donation to eroids is made. I think if free gear is going to be giving out in promo they should not be able to put a karma quota on it. Maybe a time on eroids but not karma.
There is no such thing as free. It's called gay for pay. LOL TOTALLY JOKING
Seriously though I agree, if you can't afford to do gear you should hold off. That's like getting a tattoo or plastic surgery when you're completely broke and can't even put food on the table. (I have actually seen people do this.)
MilKmAnLol so wait, how come I see all these people receiving sponsor packages from sources for their EBC and shit.
That is permitted. What cracks me up are these users trolling BFG's activity of new sources and start pouncing.
StevebGood stuff but I thought the link would get me "free gear" :-(
RomanbrandBro's, my dog ate my gear! I need a bottle ASAP! Who can help a brother out???
J/K
Lol everytime i see a promo and only the high karma people r getting gear, amd i notice its always the same names over and over i dont even read there reviews. It maybe stupid but i try to find a source with reviews of all kinds.Same if there only reviews from 1 karmas, i figure alot of those r first timers and underdosed gear does them ok, and there r def some wayyyyyy underdosed sources in the higher rankings, just my 2 cents
No shit right?? No 10 and unders huh?? lololol/lmfao!!
If you don't have the money to buy gear, then you shouldn't be in the game. It's more than just the cost of gear, it's the gym fees, the food, the supps, the equipment, and everything else that comes with it. Every sport, hobby, or interest is going to have to have some investment, and besides, nothing is free, you get what you pay for. If I was supplying and some whiney sniveling poor bloke messaged me for free gear, yeah right, I'd give him gear... ....Muwhahaha!
so glad to see this.
Thanks BB

AnonCan we include the beggars who use the word 'sample' also?
They think we're stupid, as if any of their promises of purchasing are legitimate.
I've heard;
"Hey bro, I own a few gyms here and have huge clientel, could I 'sample' your line to make sure it's good for my market so I don't ruin credibility."
"Hey bro, my TRT supply got cut because of stupid shit with my health insurance and I'm in dire need of just one bottle of test to keep my levels healthy. Please bro, it's for my well-being, not ego-driven bodybuilding goals. If it doesn't get straightened out I will purchase my TRT products through you!"
"My girl found my gear and smashed all of it and I'm mid-cycle. Could I just get one bottle as a sample and to keep my levels up until I get money together and I'll order everything from you!"
Blah blah blah bullshit.
AnonJesus Moses and Jeffery... You know what would stop that? We need a wall of Shame. not where a source can post it but let a mod see it and then post the guys name on the wall of shame
Ha ha class!
There should be a thread dedicated to posting quotes from individuals begging. These three were funny.
I wish my girl would try smashing my gear!! That would erase any doubts of her being a bitch. I can always get more gear & I can alway get another girl
Lol I love the TRT ones
X2
AnonLove the detection we're heading! + <3
i think this is is a good thing cause i see alot of guys reviewing gear they say was sent to them free and it kinda makes me wonder if there just bein grateful for the free gear they got.. so those reviews i dont even pay attention too.
Just got some free gear myself...but didn't beg for it, as that is tacky. I guess it's like nice "tail" if you don't have a strong attachment...how do you turn it down? Anyway, I thought this was at least ok as long as one was open about it and honest. Just say no in the future I guess.
I'll be glad to pay you Wednesday for a vial of prop today.
No1I think they should be called out and listed here
