Post cycle cutting, will it destroy gains?
ad
Up nearly 20 lbs on my 500 mg test e cycle and I would really like to cut after my PCT. my question is how does this effect gains? Would it nullify most of the gains I obtained?
My friend stated its best to keep bulking / maintain then cut while doing a second cycle.
Any vets with thoughts on this? I really would like to cut after my cycle but would be sad if that would cost me all my gains.

Seconding what Waltr says about waiting til your test levels are back to the natty level, use bloodwork for this, don't rely on the fact that you've just done PCT. Some cycles can take a lot longer to recover from depending on the individual. If you try to cut with crashed test then your muscle will melt off, givin that cutting can also destroy T levels.
If you do a dramatic cut you will more likely lose a lot, you need to keep it slow, steady and be patient, especially if you are trying to do it off cycle, you must try your best to keep your strength, when you remove the gear this becomes a lot harder. I would say think of a time frame of at least 16-18 weeks.
You can cut the weight with the kitchen, there are many many many schools of thoughts on this but in my experience and opinion I would sacrifice cardio and focus on maintaining the strength, lower the training volume if need be, you are in the gym to remind your muscles why they need to stay, not to burn calories. Throw in a light walk if need be.
In all honesty I feel if you use steroids to bulk, you should be using them to cut, it is near enough the only way to lose the weight without losing too much gains, even a TRT dose would be fine, then combine it with some t3, stimulants etc..
Oh yes I should specified I meant after PCT and normal bloodwork levels returned. So the consensus is a no? Has anyone tried it before how much did you lose?
waltrof course you can cut when you're not on cycle ;P
the main point i was trying to get across is that it's best to go slow when you're not on gear because your body doesn't have the extra chemicals in it to preserve the muscle tissue from breaking down.
cutting off cycle is fine, i just wouldn't recommend going over a 400-500 calorie deficit, personally i would do even less and keep it at around 300 calories. it will take a longer period of time but you will preserve more of the muscle tissue.
waltrPersonally I would make sure my natty test levels are where they need to be before I would start cutting, otherwise your gonna suffer muscle loss from it, well more than you would otherwise anyway. I wouldn't do a dramatic cut (maybe a nice slow cut with a 300 cal deficit?) because I'd be afraid I'd lose everything =(
this is just a personal opinion though
My friend was at the same cycle a good choice after your cycle would be hgh untill your next cycle that i am doing right now the recovery will be better you will not be chrashed after pct and you will keep some of your gains.pm if you want more info
