+ 8 Man this hurts what should I do?

ad

I'm posting up this info in hopes to help my fellow Eroiders with injuries. I read a post a day about shoulder pain, knee pain ,back pain etc. So I figured maybe I could help in sort of a one stop shop of how to start treating an injury. We all on here put our bodies through a great deal of stress with the pounding they take from lifting. Add on top of that AAS which can cause rapid strength gains and you have a setup for injury. Most injuries will be from repetitive motion leading to inflammation and the majority can be fixed with the basic premise of RICE therapy. Rest, ice , compression and elevation. By rest I mean relative rest, reducing poundage, higher reps and some days off. Ice well that's the best anti inflammatory on earth. Diligent icing several times a day will help pain and reduce inflammation. Next, compression, things like ace wraps and pre-made braces help reduce swelling and protect from re-injury while healing. Lastly, elevation, if its a knee, leg, wrist or any extremity injury keeping it elevate to heart level will assist in reducing swelling. Lastly, blast some ibuprofen. Most adults can take up to 800 mg three times a day for short term use without any significant hits to the GI tract or kidneys. Thanks for reading an I hope this helps someone.
