Going to purchase some gym equipment, what do you guys think i should get?

ad

What's up brothers, wanted to know what kind of equipment you guys think i should purchase. The gym where i live now has lets say....seen better days lol. Thinking mostly all I'll need is a Olympic barbell with a set of adjustable dumbells, with an incline/decline bench of course. Assuming it'll give me enough options for a full body work out for when i start bulking, let me know what you guys think.

how much weight can that power rack hold? it looks flimsy.. but the price looks good.

It says about 500lbs for the weight limit on the rack and 250lbs for the lat pull.

I'll check it out, isn't really a walmart where i currently live but i'm sure i can sort something out. thanks

The iron master adjustable dumbbell's go up to 120lbs easily. Pretty cool and the bench on their site is solid and has all sorts of attachments. You can make your own power rack out of wood that will support 6-700lbs easily. And even add a lat tower/cable push down.

Thanks for the links, nice rack set too!

A rack is nice. or a good smith machine with lat pull. I wish I had cable towers if I had the room. You will want a full set of dumbells if you plan on using it a lot you may get annoyed with the adjustables I did.

Thats pretty much all you need in my opinion. Olympic bench, cul bar, and adjustable dumbbells should be good. Id make sure your bench has an adjustment for squats.

ahhh yea i forgot the curl bar, thanks man. I also have a bowflex but....that's shitty as hell lol i get more of a burn cooking breakfast.

If he shopped around, maybe even went on craigslist, he could probably find all that with about 350 pounds of weight for around 600-800

Going to be on this tiny ass island for a while bro, it was pretty much the only gym here...until it burnt down. But i have roughly $4000 US for this particular project.

500lbs in weight and a good bar.

I'd get a good squat rack with a pull-up bar and the side guards so you don't need a spotter. A decent quality bench, and something for cardio for warming up with a heart rate monitor.

In the states you could build an entire gym with $4k from craigslist. From experience on a small island, I bet just weights will cost a small fortune.

Yea i'm getting most of my stuff from adamantbarbell, the prices aren't too bad. I completely forgot about the side guards :/ thanks for letting me know.

More than enough money. Good luck bro.
