HUCOG HELP!!! ... please

ad

So I've got a vial of 10000iu hucog. This is my first time dealing with hcg. I ordered 10ml vials of bac water, but they sent me 20ml, figured whatever no biggie I'll use it. I've got an issue which I'll get to in a second.

The hucog comes with 10000iu of hcg already in a mixture of 1mL water. So I sterilized everything, removed 1mL from the bac water vial. Then added the hucog into that vial, sneaking it down the side slowly. After rolling it between the hands to try to get it mixed I opened a 1cc 30 gauge slin pin. With this mixture 1mL should be 500 iu's, since I wanted 250 iu's I filled it to 50 units or 1/2 cc. After sterilizing the injection site, about an inch to side of the belly button, stuck the needle in...which I didn't feel at all....almost all the way in.

Now here's the problem; it hurt like hell. Not the needle, I didn't feel that all. The actual injection, as soon as I started pushing on the plunger it stung like a mofo. So far the most painful injection I've experienced was tne via IM, but I could deal with that. This I couldn't do. I got only 10 units in when I had to stop and pull it out, wasting the other 40 units. It continued to sting for about a half hour afterwards and then it was fine again.

This is my first time with hcg, and first time attempting a sub q injection. Anyone have any idea why it hurts so damn bad? I can only assume this isn't normal, after reading a lot and trying to figure out what dosage to use, I figured I would've read about the pain if it were normal.

Thanks for your input!!

I guess it would have made a lot more sense to just add more water to the hucog in order to only need a tiny amount in the syringe. For now, I'm just going to use to 15 units a day, which will come out to be pretty close to 500 iu per week. I'll do it the easy way next time. I'm also going to switch to 28 guage whenever I get a chance, I was given the idea that the 30 is pushing it out too forcefully.

I'm assuming daily small injections will have the same affect as long is it adds the same in the long run.

Also id check what the half life of HCG is, effective dose isn't the same as accumulative dose, especially if there is a tipping point in a certain dose working or not working.

Bit vague but i don't know enough about HCG sorry

If you add more water, you'll need more in the syringe (for the same given dose) as you will have diluted it

as far as the stinging - i get that when I pin peptides that are mixed with bac water about 50% of the time i pin.

sometimes i do, sometimes i don't - but yeah it feels like a bee sting while i'm injecting but nothing that's intolerable.

I've always attributed it to either the alcohol in the water or just impurities in the peptides.

I'm a little confused - is this what happened:

  1. you removed 1mL of water from the bac water vial and discarded the water
  2. you loaded the pre-made hcg solution of 1mL into syringe
  3. you added the pre-made hcg solution to the now 19mL's of bac water

Do i have that right?

I think that's what you did - which I guess you can do, but you sorta wasted the bac water. You could've just added an additional 1mL to the pre-existing hcg solution which would've given you a concentration of:

1 ml = 5000 iu's
10 iu mark = 500 iu's

which you could just eyeball the halfway point between 0 and 10 for 250 iu's.

Or, you could've added an additional 3 mL's to make a total of 4 in the vial so
1 ml = 2500 iu's
10 iu mark = 250 iu's.

Now - if the original vial was an amp or too small to add that much water - you need to first draw out the premade and put it in a sterile sealed 2 or 5ml vial and then add your bac water for the concentration you wanted.

Tested 1mL of the mixture with a preggo test, came out positive.

Today I pinched some skin and tried again, this time with only 10 units in the slin pin. Slight pain, but tolerable. I figure if I do that everyday it may be just as effective as doing the 250iu 2x a week. But annoying having to do remember that every day, just something else added to the routine.

Any ideas? I mean do you build a tolerance to the sting? ...and is my math right; 1/2cc being 250iu?

your math is right - 10000 ius in 20 mLs = 500 iu/mL, so yes 1/2 cc = 250iu
