+ 1 Pre-cycle lab work...Kinda freaked out. PLEASE HELP!
ad
Ok, So there are more tests forthcoming that havent been gone through. I've uploaded the whole thing for your consideration but I've made upclose shots of the issues. Really kinda freaked out here and none of it really makes sense.
Thanks you all for your help. I'm so happy I found this site.
Update: I've uploaded proper viewable photos.
So I'm really concerned about my ALT...does that mean my liver is completely damaged?
My lipid panel seems f'd too and I have no idea what's up with my iron.
Anything else you guys see?

If you weight train it will cause high liver markers. The damaged muscle tissue shows up as AST/ALT in an LFT. Especially if it is only one that is showing up. When there is actual liver disease all the markers will be high across the board. Here is a quick reference:

You taking vitamins with iron? Eating out of caste iron? If so stop. In the mean time I'd consider donating a pint of blood. Really good for reducing iron levels.
Gonna go donate tomorrow. Thanks for the advice
Your ALT isn't high it's just out of range. First off, you need to know that 5% of all healthy people have an abnormal ALT. Medical and mathematical statistics guarantee that. By definition, a "normal" test result range is the range that includes 95% of all healthy adults. It's only elevated 9 points which is nothing. It's no big deal. When they say high ALt they mean in the hundreds. Tylenol can raise ALT. Alanine Aminotransferase(ALT) is found mostly in the liver but it is also found in smaller amounts in the heart, kidneys, pancreas, and muscles. Exercise may elevate ALT due to muscle damage. Injections will elevate alt due to muscle damage. We may see slightly elevated ALT in people who train with weights it's normal. SO that you know when you have liver damage you ALT and AST will be elevated into the hundreds.
Your cholesterol is high due to your LDL being 209. Start looking at your diet and what you eat.
You may want to make a Drs appointment to find out what's up with the iron levels and your high cholesterol

Do you know of any natural vitamins I could take instead of prescription cholesterol meds? I hear the sides on those are pretty nasty
Hawthorn berry extract. I've also read niacin works great for cholesterol off cycle but helps little to none while on cycle
Adlai, 305mmx pretty much is telling you right. It has to do with your diet (what you been eating) That's the first thing a DR would correct. You have to look at the fats you been eating. Cholesterol is not bad as it's what the body needs to make Testosterone naturally. That why power lifters eat high fats. Cut out the fast food. (McDonalds Burger King etc) When you get over 200 you increase the chance of getting clogged arteries in the future. It's a slow process that takes decades but why chance it. Omega3 helps, olive oil, coconut oil,MCT oil. Cut back on sugars and High glycemic foods. How it's treated depends on your risk factors.Personal and family history of heart disease, as well as whether you have cardiovascular risk factors, such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, and smoking. Your not way out of wack you but you do need to get it down under 200 total. I think you can with diet if you watch what you eat. Several types of cholesterol-lowering medication are available, including niacin, bile acid resins, and fibrates. Statins are for people who are considered high risk. They are not in good health to begin with.Regular physical activity can raise HDL "good" cholesterol by up to 10%. The benefits come even with moderate exercise, such as brisk walking. Cut back on saturated fats like butter, vegetable oil, stick margarine, lard, or shortening, and red meat. Fruits and vegetables, including whole grains, are good sources of cholesterol-lowering dietary fiber. Soluble fiber, in particular, can help lower cholesterol. In a small study conducted in Brazil, people who took capsules containing a green tea extract were able to reduce their total cholesterol. Just a couple ideas of what to look at in your diet.
I still think you should find out whats going on with your iron levels. May be nothing but its always better to be safe.
Fish oil is actually prescribed sometimes as a cholesterol reducer. Take 4-6 gram a day of brand high in epa and dha. Also a very strong diet intervention is to lay off sugar. It is digested in the liver and will increase cholesterol levels beleive it or not more strongly then actually eating fat.
Thanks for the calm words. There are some test still processing and I'll post them as soon as I get em. In the meantime I'm setting up an appointment with my general practitioner to look at cholesterol meds.
bro. i know its scary seeing some off numbers. first you need to do is take a deep breath. anxiety will magnify everything. you should not check out anything online. webmd etc etc. they will make you go more crazy. wait a few weeks and retest. drink water, get rest, eat well, heck even go out and grab some non flush niacin for the cholesterol and some liver aid. then retest. go from there.
WHat can I do to get my HDL higher and my LDL under control?
Our HDL is your good cholesterol. I think you'll be fine. From your earlier post you had a lot going on with your blood meds and such.
I know but my LDL is @ 209!!! normal range is 0-99 and my total cholesterol is at 271 with top of the range being 200. Also My HDL is low normal...just above the tested range
Time ! You still had Meds in your system when you got your blood work done.
I don't understand...I fasted...it's been 10 days since the antibiotics and at least 18 hours since any advil.
Some symptoms of too much iron are fatigue, weakness and unexplained weight loss. Additionally, it can cause hair loss, shortness of breath and loss of sex drive. As far as the other question I think you answered it !

Answered my other question how? With the liquid Advil? So if I cease all that...will it improve or once it's done, it's done?
Well I'm not losing any weight and my hair is gtg....doesnt make sense with TIBC being low and UIBC being low and the serum and saturation level being so high...does it? Could the lab have f'd it up?
This could been from your diet ? You can always get it rechecked ! Mine came in high like yours sometime ago and the doc asked me if I drink. I don't drink. I got another test done and everything was fine. Don't freak out get more blood work done clean your system out "clean diet" drink lots of water and see how they come in. It worked for me.
The ALT blood test is performed to determine if the liver is damaged or diseased. ALT is found normally in low levels in the blood. However, if the liver is damaged ALT levels rise as the lever releases ALT into the blood.
Average levels of ALT in males: 10-40 units / liter
Average levels of ALT in females: 7-35 units / liter
High levels of ALT in the blood may indicate liver damage caused by hepatitis, lead poisoning, drug reactions, alcohol abuse, or mononucleosis. Medicines such as statins, antibiotics, aspirin, narcotics, and chemotherapy can also cause elevated ALT levels.

a week ago I finished a 3 day antibiotic cycle for a mild STD bacterial infection (Trich)
I also take 3-4 liquid advil prob 3-4x a week.
No chance of Hepatitis as I don't use needles and I was checked about 3 months ago on a full STD panel
I haven't drank in almost 5 years. No alcohol or drugs.
Maybe it's the antibiotics and the advil?
Whats up with the IRON thing?
You answered your own question!!
