True story @celtic_warrior84 . I mean if you worked in warehouse a someone decides that they are going to go apeshit and knock over a bunch of racks and pallets and shit with a forklift do you think the employer is going to say "oh we need to take away those forklifts, they are way to dangerous". I dont no the facts but alot of people get shot in the US due too legal easy access firearms, but yet in the UK gun crime is pretty rare! You can get firearms but yet its very hard and maybe 1 in 500 own a firearms weapon.
Now if suddenly 10 in 100 was carrying a assult rifle down the street for their "own safety" i think it would make alot of people not carrying one nervous then go out to get a firearms with causing alot of armed people.
Yes some people are responsible but there are of alot of nutters out there and emotional wrecks that can cause massacre's, individual shooting and petty crimes which few years down the line starts being normal and turns into a high multiple deaths daily.

I think your confusing assault rifles with fully auto machine guns. An assault rifle is nothing more then a fancy looking hunting rifle.
If someone wants to cause a massacre they will find a way to do it. Banning semi-auto rifles will not stop nutters as they will just find another tool to kill with. The problem does not lie in the gun but in the crazed mind. Always remember that the 2nd amendment was created not only to protect ourselves from crazy nutters but also to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government.
