Supplements/Vitamins/Foods - ON/OFF Cycle
I know of a few but I want to hear what everyone thinks about MANDITORY supplements, vitamins, minerals and certain foods like "beets" to eat/take during cycle and the difference when off cycle. My daily intake of these are as follows (on for 6 more days)
Vitamin C (500mg/3xDay)
Flaxseed (in my breakfast shake)
Fish Oil (lunch/dinner)
Milk Thistle (morning/night)
L-Arginine (gym days 1000mg 2hrs before workout)
Glucosamine (every morning)
Co-Q-10 (every night)
Multi-Vitamin (split in half morning/dinner)
Thinking about Liv52 when off instead of milk thistle because of its side to raise Estrogen and/or NAC too. Also if anyone wants to comment on L-Gluamine and L-Carnitine for on/off cut/bulk cycles. I don't know too much about foods to get some essential nutrients but one I do know is "beets" for a natural NO boost. It helps to widen your blood vessels just like L-Arginine!
I think this can help a lot of people like myself because a lot of beginners over look everything except for gear and basic clean calorie intake. Knowing certain foods and supplements to protect vital organs can make cycling that much safer and healthier!
Thank you for any help/input guys! Fast48, Mjunkie, Dossier31 and cdaddy7 I hope to hear from you guys! lol

AnonI use..
TUDCA instead of milk thistle
Artichoke Extract.. good for cholesterol and digestion
St John Wart.. for over all well being
Saw palmetto.. for prostate issues
Fish Oil and Multivitamin a must!
And recently discovered (thanks eroids) that B6 helps with prolactin issues, so I take 400mg of that.
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkI just did a load of research on TUDCA! And bought some from amazon lol. Thanks for telling me about this stuff!
AnonGlad I could help!
WithdrawlI highly recommend a daily dose of fish oils that are high in EPA/DHA. 5,000 mg a day of fish oils is what I usually take.
edit! I forgot. I put flax seed in my breakfast shake and fish oil at lunch and dinner lol... I'll change that now. Thank you.
I've read studies that the human body can not digest flax seeds properly to utilize the omegas.
WithdrawlThe EPA and DHA (the most beneficial part of omega 3 oils) from fish oils can be directly used by the body. Flax oil contains ALA (alpha linolenic acid) that can be used by the body to make EPA and DHA. Problem is you need about 6 to 8 times the amount of Flax oil compared to fish oil to get the same amount of EPA/DHA, and even then it isn't used by the body as well as from fish sources. Fish oil should be the first choice unless you are allergic or can't have fish for any reason.
Agreed, but they have to be chewed, the stomach can not digest whole flax seeds
I use ground flaxseed and sometimes flax oil. NEVER whole seeds because as you said they will not digest. And also stated that fish oil is better is also true from what I've read but flax does have it's benefits which is why I like to use both.
