Couple of random diet questions

ad

Hey guys, really believe have been killing it recently on my diet and following it to a T, however my chicken been kinda borin with pepper, and other spices like adobo so therefore was just wondering the take on marinades. Is marinating some chicken in BBQ sauce and then grilling it terrible thing to do? Also brown rice can get boring to say the least, would it be ok to switch it up with whole wheat pasta earlier in the day? I know we all take hours calculsting and doin trial and error to figure out what works best for us, so would marinades be throwing off all of these calculations? Thanks for taking the time guys!!

One marinade I like to use on chicken is a garlic cilantro lime marinade. It's low on cals and is less boring then just plain chicken.

4 boned, skinned chicken breast halves (2 lb. total)
1/4 cup lime juice
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Something you can try to make brow rice less boring is using chicken or beef stock instead of water when boiling the rice. I usually do the when bulking but I'm sure if ur cutting you can adjust for cals. I also use the low sodium stocks because some of them can be quite high in sodium.

I don't see why you couldn't switch it up for whole wheat pasta. Your could also substitute brown rice with whole grain couscous or quinoa both are really good and quick/ easy to make.

Marinades are packed with salt so bloat etc may go up. Try baking chicken and add light layer bbq sauce on to kill boredom? Look into quinoa, beans, corn mixed into brown rice. I even add mixed steamed veggies into the brown rice. Are you bulking or cutting?

To be honest fast right now I'm floating around 160lbs and would like to be around 180 so basically packing on 20lbs of solid muscles while lowering/keeping the body far in check..I'm going for more of the shredding look but I wouldn't necessarily call it bulking or cutting hahah just working!! Lol but in all seriousness I'm not sure if I would consider that bulking or cutting..but ultimately like I said pack on 20 lbs lean muscles with good definition and deep cuts

Ahh.. First cycle so clean fresh receptors will def help a lot. If you're lean right now and early in cycle I'd eat big. Complex carbs. Lots of chicken, lean beef, meat meat meat. Lol! The last 3 Weeks can go super clean and a lil bike cardio after weights as needed. Foods can get boring for sure! Thetes amino marinades for bodybuilding. Tread posted bout them a while back. If you get low salt premade marinades it'll help with bloat etc. Making your own is easy unless time constrained. Cubed chicken in inch of water. Add Italian seasonings...onion...garlic, basil etc. Blender a fresh tomato or use no sodium tomato sauce. Cook til thickens and water evaporates (called a reduction). Can add in veggies too for Italian-esque flavored chicken. Lean beef sliced in water....add red crushed pepper, garlic, onion....simmer til done. Makes a beefy stew with veggies added. Getting creative with spices.
