Compound sets are defiantly the way to go. My favorite is skull crushers into close grip bench press. Use a ez-curl bar w your hands on the inside grips. Elbow position is crucial, make sure they point towards your feet during both movements. Dont use so much weight that you loose form. Isolation of the muscles is everything!
Try 4 sets at the end of Triceps Dip at 20 reps each. tell me in 1 month results.
Triceps are the only thing I seem to be able to get right. Skull crushers all the way...
I tried these exercises on my triceps yesterday and I really feel it today.

AnonThanks bros! All very helpful tips i appreciate it
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkI keep compound movements...close grip, weighted dips, skull crushers, rope pull downs. Mind muscle control!! Good luck
mine aren't great but they got a hella better after adding weighted dips and db overhead presses in addition to regular routine. Mostly in the 5-8 rep range.
Triceps have always been one of my best muscles.. They really started to pop when I found a seated dip machine that made it easy to change grips. I would start the 1st week with 8-15 rep weight, 2nd week 5-8 weight, 3rd week all out heavy 1-4 reps.. kept that rotation going along with tricep cable pull downs in the same order and they blew up.. Also i always pause after extending them to really feel a burn. Hope that helps
I have found that if I am not meeting my dietary demand my arms are the first to suffer. I would assess your diet first. As far as intensity, it could go either way. If you are not used to destroying them, destroy them; and if you are, then cut back on reps and up the weight. Sometimes, I just need to let them rest a little more between workouts, or decrease the amount of sets. My favorite workout is skull crushers. It just feels like it tears the meat off the bone, in a good way. I like what someone said about going slow. I use a weight that I can handle while maintaining form and isolation. Hope my .02 helps.
i got mine to start growing by lowering the weight and doing really slow reps and holding at the bottom of each rep and squeezing and really feeling the muscle, truth is that works for every muscle, good luck brotha
I had the same problem. Try compound moves, for example do bench press for chest and the secondary muscle you work will be your tri, then when you finish with chest work on your triceps to failure on every set, may sure you do full extent of your triceps without jerking the weight! It did work for me even thought i ain't got no big arms yet(15 inch).
oldskoolcoolKeep pressing heavy military, bench and plenty of dips.
Mine require lots of sets to grow. All angles. Closegrip pushdowns...singl extensions...donkeys...ropes.
Mine are the same I do all different angles, I will do usually something like V bar pushdown, kick back, skull crusher (if elbow can handle it), dips, overhead tricep extension, also close grip bench
Ive always like to do skull crushers on the incline bench with heavy weight. Then kick backs with medium weight. the key to the kick backs is to keep good form, and I like to give a twist in my wrist when reaching the end till you feel the muscle get hard and tight and hold for a second. Those are my favorite tricep excersizes. Then i usually add 2-3 more random ones in with those and switch them up once in a while.
