17 days into the diet

ad

heres my diet breakdown just by food per day.

2 pounds chicken
1 pound red meat, lean.
8oz Broccoli
6oz Kale
Dozen fresh eggs...really fresh.. neighbors have chickens.
3 protein shakes, I use BSN, 22g Protein, and 200 Cal.
2 Precision Engineered Protein bars
Gallon of water

any advice? I have done diets in the past to cut up before an event, but you can always learn something from others is how I roll.

thats about it, maybe an energy drink thrown in somewhere. I work 10pm -12noon usually then gym, then sleep...so its hard to get it all in my lunchbox ;-)

Get rid of the protein bars if your cutting. to much sugar and sugar alcohol. in the end they are just going to slow you down and potentially pack on some flub. Also where are the carbs? post workout carbs are crucial for cutting. try putting 3/4 cup oats into your postwork out shake.

I started eating grains post workout and have cut the sugar. I dont feel flat so all is good so far. Trying cardio and keeping my calorie intake up for now. Down a few pounds, fat needs to go but its a bitch. Thanks for all of the help everyone.

I don't see any fish in there bro. Throw some tuna up in the mix, cheap, portable, and taste well ok.

any advice?

Yes........Quit your job. 12 hour shifts are going to hamper your ability to recover in between workouts. If you get a job at Dollar General, you'll have to take a huge pay cut, but the work is easy, and you can actually sleep in the stock room when things are slow. Plus, it's easy to eat on the job, and you can usually get away with stealing a can of smoked oysters or sardines now and then.
Also, chicks LOVE guys in uniform, and Dollar General uniforms are straight-up SEXY!

zero carbs? not eating carbs slows down your metabolism.

chickens lay the eggs, so I eat the chickens too ;-) Stupid cheap for me, $2 a pound, so a 6 pound chicken is $12...good for 3 days worth for me. I get carbs from my bars , energy drink mix. I know it sounds f-ed up, but I stay away from most grains... I have allergies, and 0 Gluten, meaning I do not eat any breads or pastas. I do eat Rice pasta occasionally, but thats about it. Eggs are all egg, I dont break down the whites. My cholesterol is 90. I hit the fishoils, and do have some Quinoa, but have not endulged just yet. Good info on the buckwheat, I may look into it a bit more. My wife is the expert and she said your right on...so I will give it ago!

Thanks so much! I will def try a modified version of this and see what happs. Problem is your diet makes me hungry ;-) The whole thing looks like 2 meals! Gothic is right also, my schedule really screws me up, but gotta do it, and I do manage to stay active at work...lots of walking , so the idea about fast walking and carring buckets is right there also. Thanks a shit ton for the advice! Will post more in 2 weeks and see if it all pays off.

Where are the carbs?
On a side note, how much do you spend on chicken a week? Roughly 14lbs would be almost $90 here.
