It should be ok, it gives everyone a chance to get a feel for them and decide if they want to do bussiness with them,...............but it might be better if they didn't have points or thumbs.

Half the helpful shit I do, goes relatively unnoticed (no points, comments, etc) & some dude gets100 karma points for teling newbs something they should already know; or just because they made a funny. But, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it though. I'm personally here to learn, to share my skill set & knowledge. That being said. Unless you want to know how to ace pretty much ANY pft, or selection course (if you're motivated, intelligent, a long with other requirements) or nowadays how to look like a shaggy fucking dog year round. That's pretty limited. I will say this though. If I'm still at 254, this time next year; & I'm still vertical & breathing. I'd be pissed, but certainly not gonna stop trying to help. Just communicate...

sgtstedankoYes! It's just business dude. It would be stupid of them not to cook the votes, so to speak. But in the end, Good gear sells itself. Mods were members & consumers, before they were mods. They are all good peeps, from what I can tell. I've talked with most of them. They care about the integrity here. As well as the gear. I haven't been here too long, but I've seen some mods lay into shitty sources, they had Business relationships with. I also heard of some mods getting fucked over by their src too. In private... All you can do is try to talk to a source, bounce some questions off of them, ask what they personally have run of theirs, & ask some loaded questions to gauge response. I see what you mean though. I honestly think most sources selectively scam the masses, & hook up their best customers. Or, some get in & get out... I'd rather have somewhat of a relationship with whomever I give my $ to. Than to be just a #. Feel free to pm me. I feel as though, maybe there are some underlying problems fueling this question?
I kinda see Rob's point....but the fact is, you're never going to be able to police that type of activity, as back-stage deals can always be done through PMs.
If a source sends me gear and asks me to review it, I'm going to give it an honest review. if the gear turns out to be shitty gear, then I'm going to be pissed and that source is going to have a problem on their hands because I'm going to post an honest review. We MODs have certain labs or sources we like, but to tell the truth, they are not necessarily the most popular ones.
You'd be surprised who I recommend as the best sources to people when asked in private--very surprised.

I have bought and paid for all my gear.. and quite honestly sources with integrity want real reviews from real custos.. you can only fly so far with shitty ass gear.. you may not have noticed but the mods are just as quick to flay a shitty source as they are to praise a good source.. sources don't sponsor this website for a reason..

AnonEveryone is in something to make a living but I can tell you that there was a source here not too long ago that worried about his clients and did right by them are you telling me that this person was a figment of my imagination? hmmm trust, that's what you do when you send out your money, you trust that you will get your product. So you would rather buy from a source who has never taken the time to log on an see what people say about their gear, rather than a source who takes the time to respond to people who have questions about quality, quanity,etc? I personally have built relationships through Eroids with sponsors who would (without question) replace my gear if I felt anything was wrong with it.
