I am pretty sure I haven't seen the answer to this in another topic but if so I apologize.
I am new obviously and am curious as to what and or how you gain points?
Also curious as to the formula in which src scores are based on?

source score is calculated (as explained in the rules section "voting" a, 1.) via Bayes Estimator algorithm
Just try not to do what I do periodically; jump back and forth between here and social networking sites and get "chatty", forgetting rules and such. Offer constructive and useful information and you will earn points.

Nasty81NateI've been on here about 5 weeks and have gained most of my points through participation. When somebody click on the "helpful cool funny" tabs on the your posts in the review sections and other forums you get awarded points. A surefire way to get some is to submit pics, gear or self pics.
I've just tried to leave good reviews and try help out noobs with questions that seem so obvious to me, but aren't to somebody that is new to this game.
You might also be able to acquire em by posting product reviews, I cant remember.
But it all comes down to PARTICIPATION, the more you participte, the more likely another member is to award you Karma. And dont forget what goes around comes around, I try to award them to other members when I feel they've been helpful, when I enjoy a post or pic, etc....
