Im sure there are alot of you hear the word ester and have no idea what an ester is, how do i know this, well because I was the same way. I am no chemist and would even no where to start making my own testosterone but I did want to know more about what esters were other than being associated with the amount of time it took for testosterone to start working in your system, so I did me some research and along the way I found a web page that I thought would be helpful for some of you guys (and girls) to see what an ester really is and where they come from and what they are used for. Maybe this will help some of you understand more about the different testosterone compounds. If you find more info you think might be helpful please feel free to post it on this page as this website his here to help educate us.

"Esterification temporarily deactivates the steroid molecule. With a chain blocking the 17th beta position, binding to the androgen receptor is not possible (it can exert no activity in the body). In order for the compound to become active the ester must therefore first be removed. This automatically occurs once the compound has filtered into blood circulation, where esterase enzymes quickly cleave off (hydrolyze) the ester chain. This will restore the necessary hydroxyl (OH) group at the 17th beta position, enabling the drug to attach to the appropriate receptor. Now and only now will the steroid be able to have an effect on skeletal muscle tissue. You can start to see why considering testosterone cypionate much more potent than enanthate makes little sense, as your muscles are seeing only free testosterone no matter what ester was used to deploy it."

WHY U NEED TO CARE ABOUT ESTERS-
The esters and release rate are important to know for Half Life of AAS, in case ur getting tested, doing shows and for starting PCT.
Also important knowledge for dosing and stacking - u want complimentary stacks.

They also effect the true dosage of the AAS - steroid ester weight
-every ester isn't created equal. just because you're injecting 250mg/ml, doesn't mean you're getting 250mg/ml
