stfuandliftbtchthere is no best time. the best time to train is when you feel like it is time. If you are tired between 2-3pm and you take a nap, and at 7pm your ready to tear shit up, how would training at 2-3 pm while you are tired be best?
I work 12 hour days so for me I hit cardio first thing in the morning (5:00AM) then hit the gym at 7:30PM. This time is great because the gym is not busy.
dansta123thats commitment.my starts are at 10am..dont start work till 5pm so pretty good and laid back for me
When you wake up on a empty stomach. Increase fat burning all day and when you get off work you do-not have to worry about going to the gym.
am when your natural test is at it's highest, old skool thought
when the gym is empty and you can get on the equipment you need without waiting is the best time.Or the guys that you see never training legs avoid them.
I believe its better to train after you have had a few meals because your glycogen stores are up and ready to burn, straight after training u wanna hit some simple carbs with your protein because you will have burnt up your glycogen stores and need replacing also these simple carbs may cause an insulin spike and therfore transporting much needed protein into those pumped muscles. Also I think for burning fat its better to do cardio in the a.m on a empty stomach or directly after a heavy weight sesh(because you have burnt up stored energy, glycogen) and this will take the fat from your stores on your body. I train in the afternoon as i want my body to be primed as much as possible before subjecting it to heavy weight training. Im keen to learn so please anyone correct me if im wrong.
sgtstedankoPersonally, I like to sprint right away in the morning, then workout, and a little mixed over lunch, or hot tub:) Myself, I have more energy in the morning, could be caffeine related;). But I have read medical studies a while ago that show your body is better suited to workout in the afternoon. Something about tendons being relaxed, stretched. Pain blocking receptors better, etc. Blah, blah, blah. IMO, As long as put in the work, who cares when you do it. Just fucking do it! I get lazy as the day goes on, and seemingly find excuses...
I have always been told cortisol levels are highest early morning. Not sure if I believe that. I always train early, 5 am. I still notice gains when Im not on a cycle training that early. I feel I train my hardest mid-day, after having a chance to load on calories, water and other nutrients. I think people get to caught up in BS theorys and stress over it and wonder if there doing the right thing. Some times you just have to forget all those BS theorys and train the way YOU want to train.
i'm an early a.m. guy. get it out of the way, great way to start the day, and no matter what happens in the course of the day I already took care of the workout...
My thoughts exactly. Not much can come up or get in the way for me at 4:30am . The negative is a lack of eye candy. But not really there for that anyhow(of course I am conflicted on this issue). I put on the ipod and do work. Out by 6 then home to get the little ones off to school and my ass to work. Plus I feel mentally superior to the lazy asses around me trying to wake up with monsters, red bulls and 5day. Whats even funnier is they wonder why they are all tired with there sugar crash. Anyhow done with that rant...Morning it is for me...Makes me smile all day.. The downside is I can barley make it to 8pm. My wife and kids give me a hard time..lol
That'll be me once I start Cardio in the a.m. to cut for my show.. not looking forward to it lol
I second that
The best time of the day for me is when all of the pretty boys have left Gold's... So about 8 p.m.
dansta123wasnt over thinking nothing..in this world theres always going to be the person that says shit like this is the best way of doing things then placing it in a light...didnt you know???
that person is either correct, miss informed and or being a cockhead..in this case a very close friend, nicest guy you could come across so i would take his advice as nothing more than positive...just thought id ask on the manner regarding human bodyclock...
I will end up training when suits me at the end of the day mind you..but asking different opinions is also good.
AnonIt seems like your being a dick when he was just giving you advice... "didnt you know"
I dont know i might be wrong im a little drunk right now.. if im wrong sorry for this comment
dansta123gonna opt your drunk.lol
AnonWhats Opt mean? lol....
dansta123if I had a option between the two.
AnonEach person is different, it all depends on your body clock. Some people are better off doing it first thing in the morning others are better last thing at night. You can only judge through tests though. Stick to whenever the hell, i cant see 2-3pm beeing the best time for everyone. Also you are overthinking things just train as much as you can.
